Having Finnish ancestry but little to no current connection with finland, I appreciate your photos and the tibits about Finland I can read behind the lines. Thank You. PS-the view of the frosty forest are very similar to the winter in Northern Minnesota, but we are probably colder due to continental air. No wonder this place is full of Finns and a nearby town is even called Finland, and even near where the legend of St. Urho was invented. Look it up ;)

I love winter scenery! Especially right after or during snowfall. Nature is so still, and the snow covering everything just adds to its elegance.

Beautiful, I remember taking pictures of my neighbor's house and the snow had a pink/purple afterglow. But having fog on a snowy day is a rare sight.

I always wanna experience snow

I think I like these more than the black&white ones (they are amazing too). But the natural absense of color is much clearer this way.

Also known as an Ice storm.  These are not uncommon in Buffalo NY.  Moisture condensates on the trees then freezes. I remember seeing some spectacular sights like these in western NY. when I was younger, especially in the valleys. I never seemed to have a camera handy at the time then.
