Seaside but not Seafaring

Bothnia Bay, Gulf of Botnia, Baltic Sea. 

It’s very foreign and new to me to reside this close to the sea. I was born and bread in lake Finland, with hills and winding roads, here the land is flat, with rivers connecting to the sea. 

I’m quite excited to have started to experience more of this western coast of Finland in the past year. Most people seem to long for the truly foreign exotics but I’m very much content in exploring my own country. I guess it’s the homebody in me. 

Yesterday I saw this swiss cheese of a boat living out its retirement on the shore of the frozen Bothnia Bay.
