When I wrote about the trip to the Northern Dvina on a boat to the dredger, I mentioned a coast near the village of Demyanovo, Veliky Ustyug district, that there the coast was directly bitten by ice during the flood in 2016. We decided to go fishing in this place with an overnight stay. We used to go there earlier, as the place is good: the current is not strong, the depth is big near the shore, the road is excellent.

You ask why psychedelic? Now I'll tell you. Firstly, it was possible to descend to the water only in several places - the shore is very steep, although not so high. Secondly, over the length of the entire coast in the water and on the shore lay huge broken off from the shore pieces of rock. And, while we were in this place, we heard several times how such pieces were broken off and fell with a crash into the water.

Thirdly, there were splashing such fish at night, which seemed as if a log had been thrown into the water.

Even in the evening there was a haze from the heat, and in the morning there was a strong fog, accompanied by all these gloomy sounds described above.

What's interesting, the black layer near the shore is wood! I myself could not believe it. How did it get there? Maybe there was a swamp here before? It seems that the forest was once burning here. The wood was well preserved and we even laid it on the fire.

Even whole decayed logs came across in this layer! This I have not seen.
