Nice post @exyle. I really like this movement and would be a part of it. I read some comments here and i see a few thinking that their content as a minnow wont get far and earn you big, for those who think that they cant succeed on steemit if they dont  buying steem, First, you need to change that  because you can start a blog and earn money immediately with it. Of course, you won’t get hundreds, even tens, when you are starting, but this can come very quickly if you persists.
You can look at some other accounts and see that at one point, posts that were earning cents are earning twenty or thirty US dollar when the posts are of quality of course, and you have built some followers. So why not be patient and see that investors makes the community stronger and you even stand to gain as an investor just like @exyle pointed out. 
Second, Steemit is great because other users can build apps over the Steem blockchain. Have a look at

Calling more and more investors is somehow damaging this platform. People are just selling their upvotes and good writers aren't getting any rewards. We need to find a balance, this community is converting into a more corporation, I guess.

@exyle what you are saying its totally true about steem and its blockchain. There are not many or none cryptos that will give you the ROI steem is doing. I have researched some cryptos giving just 1% a year, while steem can earn above 20% if upvoting quality content, or delegating steem power or leasing votes, etc. By the way, I have read one of your posts about the reard pool about 7 months ago, and helped me understand more about it, after all the conversation that was generated on the comments section of your post. Awesome post. Just for those who are not really conversant with steemit, when @exyle says you should invest in steem, he is talking about steem and not steem dollars. It's only steem that fluctuates in price just like the stocks of a company. SBD does not fluctuate, its more like your liquid cash that you can easily spend. So when investing in steem , make sure to invest in steem and not steem dollars. Thanks for the post

Is the consoring part really something Youtube does?
I know that creators where able to edit out music, atleast at the time Youtube still had an editor.
Also do they censor opinions or copyrighted Content?

What would be really helpful here, is when when we click on your video, it  should open in another tab instead of on the same page. Earlier I did this, then got kicked off the site since I wasn't logged in to stay logged in.

Its more like loaning your Steem Power out and get paid Steem back for this. Have a look at MinnowBooster to loan your Steem Power out.
I do not know of another cryptocurrency which has so much potential with a great community and tools. 
I think we should consider making a decision about investing.

To add to what @exyle has said, it's important that investors know that in addition to getting ROI by leasing steem power to different users, they could also use steemit related platforms like steemvoter where they can select some credible authors like @exyle,and delegate their votes to their posts, and hence get curation rewards. So they don't have to manually upvote posts.
