Greetings #Hivers and beautiful community of #WEEKENDEXPERIENCIAS may you all have a weekend full of blessings, today I will participate in this nice initiative created by @galenkp where he presents several topics, the one I liked was Tattoo....

My first tattoo is simple, but very significant because I did it as a tribute to my two children and are their names along with a sun and a moon since childhood I always called my attention the tattoos even I have many friends with very beautiful tattoos there are tattoos of all shapes and sizes, but there are some that stand out and make people stop and look at them as if they were a work of art in movement, although I am sincere, appearance matters and many times they do not judge us by how we look. Often tattooed people face prejudices in the working world, tattoos on the face, neck or hands, those tattoos that you cannot hide with your clothes, where the image you project is that of a tattooed person.
where the image that is projected is the most important, employers in many cases fear their workers with tattoos may offend customers or damage the reputation of your company, which can sow doubts in the employer as to the ability of its employee to be professional and responsible.

About 1 year ago I had a problem at work because of my tattoo I am a teacher in a Catholic school I teach sixth grade and as in the area where I live it is very hot I wore a short sleeve flannel and my tattoo was visible and the children had never seen it and the days went by until one morning they called me with the complaint of two representatives who said they did not think I was teaching because it was not an example that I encouraged the children to get tattooed. I was very upset and the director respectfully asked me to wear the usual uniform which was a long sleeve shirt for the first time I felt discriminated and judged for a tattoo and I understood what those people who have a lot of tattoos feel, it is as if they put an invisible barrier for those who are looking for work, although not all people think that because you have a tattoo you are a bad influence or a bad person or a criminal in some cases, but what about freedom of expression what about the right to be oneself and embrace our individuality, why should tattoos be grounds for discrimination?

Tattoos are a form of art, a way to carry with you, a little piece of what you love, it is a way to tell a story and express emotions, they should not define the value of a person or their ability to do a job, we all have the right to be ourselves and to show our love for the ink if we want to maybe someday society will fully accept the beauty and uniqueness of tattoos
allowing everyone to express themselves freely without fear of discrimination.

That tattoo is very nice and it is not extravagant. I suppose that tattoos are not done just for the sake of doing them, they have meaning in our lives. In your case, is it a tribute or is it in honor of your two children, who will always be yours, very different from those who think of tattooing couples' names.

Oh, God!! I can understand you in so many waves. I'm a teacher two and although I'm not in an institute I know that in case I get a job I have to cover my arms because they're cover in tattoos. I agree with you. Tattoos don't define people, but we live in a world full of stereotypes and because society does not want to change, we must live under the speculation of what we "are". Like if tattoos could be translated in our skills and capacity to do our jobs.
