<div class="pull-left"><p>¡Hola de nuevo amigos! Hoy les vengo a contar acerca de una idea que se me ocurrió recientemente y que estoy materializando. Se trata de sembrar algunas plantas ornamentales y medicinales en un espacio comunitario en mi sector. En otros posts el año pasado comente que había empezado a hacer esto con una vecina en otro espacio y durante la época lluviosa estuvo muy bien pero debido a que es un área grande no era fácil mantenerla en la época de sequía, por lo que la mayoría de las plantas se secaron. </p>

<p>Eso aunado a que el sitio está minado de bachacos y que mucho de lo que plantamos fue reducido a nada, realmente me quitaron los ánimos de seguir sembrando plantas allí. Por lo que esta vez lo intentare en un espacio distinto que está más cerca de mi casa y con otro tipo de plantas de aguanten mejor la falta de agua. En un principio dispuse de algunos capachos, sábila, albahaca, girasoles y flor de Jamaica y me puse en acción.</p></div>

It is about planting some ornamental and medicinal plants in a community space in my sector. In other posts last year I commented that I had started doing this with a neighbor in another space and during the rainy season it was very good but because it is a large area it was not easy to maintain it in the dry season, so most of the plants dried up.</p>

<p>That, together with the fact that the site is mined of bachacos (leafcutter ants) and that much of what we planted was reduced to nothing, really took away my desire to continue planting plants there. So this time I will try it in a different space that is closer to my house and with another type of plants that can withstand the lack of water better. At first I had some Indian shot, aloe vera, basil, sunflowers and Jamaican sorrel and I got into action.</p></div>

<div class="pull-left"><p>Ya que había mucha mala hierba lo más difícil fue limpiar esa parte, afortunadamente unos vecinos se habían puesto de acuerdo antes para cortarlo con una pequeña maquina eléctrica así que solo tuve que cortar poco más de la mitad del espacio que planifique usar en un principio y luego el señor termino de emparejar. Delimite el espacio que había escogido con algunas piedras grandes y pequeñas que conseguí en los alrededores y comencé formando una especie de rectángulo empezando con las plantas más pequeñas y hacia atrás las grandes.</p></div>

<div class="pull-right"><p>Since there were a lot of weeds the hardest part was to clean that part, fortunately some neighbors had agreed before to cut it with a small electric machine so I only had to cut a little more than half of the space I had planned to use in the beginning and then the gentleman finished to even it out. I delimited the space I had chosen with some large and small stones that I had found nearby and started forming a sort of rectangle starting with the smaller plants and moving back the larger ones.</p></div>

<div class="pull-left"><p>La razón de porque decidí usar ese lugar fue porque actualmente mi pareja y yo nos llevamos muy bien con la señora que vive en la casa que esta de ese lado, ya que la hemos estado ayudando desde que tuvo covid-19 hace un par de meses, así que pensé que sería genial sembrar plantas allí que no solo fueran útiles sino que se vieran bonitas.</p>

<p>Lamentablemente con las personas de las otras dos casas que están alrededor no es que me lleve muy bien y aunque había comenzado con entusiasmo y buen ánimo, termine un poco molesta y decepcionada, ya que al ver lo que estaba haciendo en vez de alegrarse y agradecerlo, lo vieron como un inconveniente y se quejaron, ya que ellos allí suelen hacer sus “reuniones y parrilladas” y dijeron que les iba a quitar espacio.</p>

<p>Cabe destacar que ellos hacen eso sin considerar a los demás vecinos, ya que ocupan toda un área que es de libre acceso para los que viven en el sector y hacen un alboroto hasta tarde en la noche, lo cual me parece una falta de respeto.</p>

<p>Pese a esto decidí terminar mi labor y pedir al universo que no vayan a dañar mis plantas y que cambien su forma de pensar al ver lo bonito que se pondrá todo. Realmente el único inconveniente ahorita es que aún no comienza la época de lluvia por lo que las plantas sufren mucho por el sol y regar a mano no es suficiente.</p></div>

<div class="pull-right"><p>The reason why I decided to use that spot was because currently my partner and I get along very well with the Mrs. who lives in the house that is on that side, since we have been helping her since she had covid-19 a couple of months ago, so I thought it would be great to sow plants there that would not only be useful but also look nice.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, I do not get along very well with the people of the other two houses that are around and although I had started with enthusiasm and good spirits, I ended up a little upset and disappointed, because when they saw what I was doing instead of being happy and grateful, they saw it as an inconvenience and complained, since they usually do their "meetings and barbecues" there and said that I was going to take space away from them.</p>

<p>It should be noted that they do this without considering the other neighbors, since they occupy an entire area that is freely accessible to those who live in the sector and make a fuss until late at night, which seems to me to be disrespectful.</p>

<p>Despite this I decided to finish my work and pray to the universe that they will not damage my plants and that they will change their way of thinking when they see how beautiful everything will be. Really the only inconvenience right now is that the rainy season has not started yet, so the plants suffer a lot from the sun and watering by hand is not enough.</p></div>

<div class="pull-left"><p>Por los momentos no parece gran cosa porque aún están pequeñas las plantas y algunas apenas están germinando, también esparcí bastantes semillas de plantas de flores como zinnias, cosmos y marigold que espero empiecen a nacer cuando llueva, también me gustaría colocar alguna otra planta mediana que fuera frutal o medicinal, como un limonero o moringa ¿Quizás? Si tienen alguna idea me encantaría que me ayudaran a decidir.</p></div>
