In the first part (which you can read [here](https://steemit.com/blog/@fatboyjames/are-we-alone-in-the-universe-part-1-of-2) if you missed it) we looked at the possibilities of aliens in universe. This second part is going to focus more on whether we have been visited by aliens or not. It’s one thing for there to be intelligent life out there in the universe but another for us to actually make contact. There are many conspiracy theories surrounding this, with people claiming to have been abducted and others having sightings of UFOs. Even though we may not be certain whether any of these claims are true, it is fun to look at the evidence and see how convincing it may be.
 
# UFOs

A UFO, or unidentified flying object, is the name used when someone is describing something that looks like an alien spacecraft. People have been fascinated with UFOs for decades, ever since the Roswell crash of 1947 in New Mexico. In 1997 there was an incident in the city of Phoenix in Arizona. Thousands of people reported seeing a number of triangular shaped UFOs, some being the size of football fields. Is it possible that thousands of people are lying about seeing a UFO? Other conspiracy theorists disagree that these were spacecraft but rather a test of an experimental craft for the military, one of the many projects being made in the elusive Area 51.
 
# Abductions

As well as mysteries surrounding UFOs, there are the mysteries surrounding alien abductions, with people claiming that they have been taken aboard alien spacecraft. Even though there is no evidence of anybody actually being abducted, there are ways that people claim you can tell if you have been abducted, some people believing they have been abducted multiple times in order for aliens to get information from them. The signs for having been abducted include lost time, electrical interference in household appliances but only when you walk past them, humming noises, the constant feeling of people watched at night, sleepwalking and strange marks on your body, among others. Some people who have these symptoms admit to having weird, weak memories that feel more like dreams.
 
# Prehistoric aliens

Some people believe, while we may not be seeing alien encounters today, that Earth has been visited by aliens in the past, and that we may even owe some of the greatest advancements in technology to alien races. Shown in the picture below is a 10,000 year old carving on a rock that seems to be depicting some sort of UFO.

For all we know, aliens could have visited early human life and helped them on their way to progress to the stage that we are at now. Some conspiracy theorists also say that aliens helped the Egyptians to build the pyramids; the efficiency and technology needed to complete such a feat is arguably well beyond ancient Egyptian technology.
