Just thought I'd take some time here and list some common misconceptions about cryptocurrency. 1) Cryptocurrency is illegal - Some people when they first hear of Bitcoin or crypto assume that it is illegal, especially after hearing certain things like the wannacry ransomware in recent days. The fact that it is decentralised currency also makes them assume it is illegal, as in many ways it is going against the banks. 2) It's too late to get in to - When many people see the big prices of the more popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc.. they can feel as if the boat has been missed and they're is no way to make money. This does not make it too late to get into crypto though. You do not need to be in crypto to make money, you can just be in it as an alternative to ordinary currency. Plus there are many smaller altcoins that are sure to pump in value and can be easily mined instead. 3) It's just a trend - Bitcoin has been around since October 2008, almost 9 years. Is it really a trend if it's been growing strong for 9 years and being adopted by more and more people, especially with China adopting Bitcoin recently.
