 ## Back in The Garden - - - **If theirs one thing that this lockdown has taught me is that home is definitely where my heart is.** Like a lot of people in this pandemic world, I have really taken notice of my home these last 2 months. From re-decorating the living room to fixing them ever-growing tasks that have been building up for years. One task that has been weighing on my mind is the garden. Since our holiday had been cancelled due to the Corona virus outbreak we had a little extra cash going spare so as we where bound to the perimeters of our home, now would be the best time to put plan’s into action. ## Front Garden - - - **I** have always avoided the front garden for unknown reasons. Maybe it was it’s tiny size or that it was not as private as the back garden But as the house is south facing and gets most of the sunlight through the day then this seemed like the best place to make a nice seating area. I started by creating a bench planter Using pieces of wood that my neighbour was going to burn.  but after placing it in my front garden I realised that the garden needed more than a lump of wood to look good. The next day I ordered everything I needed and started digging up the lawn.  Along the back I placed two wooden boards and created a raised flowerbed to hide the metal fence. Then I pegged out the seating area and laid some sandstone slabs.  I then purposely left a 1cm gap all the way around and placed some edging stones around the outside and filled in the rest with blue slate chipping stones. The gap is for an LED strip light that is placed between the slabs and the edging and when switched on it will give you a beautiful lit up area.  With what was left over I did similar with the other side of the garden and that really tided it all in. Now the garden has become something to be proud of and is a real talking point with my neighbours.  **small but effective** Join me again for the back garden edition which is coming soon.
