A link between Zelda and The Flash
It is no mystery that both The Flash and The Legend of Zelda are gigantic in lore, but I realized there is one thing they have in common while I was watching [Which Ganondorf is strongest? (Ranking the Ganons from Legend of Zelda)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia0mBZaVoSg) - the story of two beings created only for the convenience of the other characters.

# Savitar (The Flash Season 3 spoiler alert)

This is the weirdest big bad from The Flash series: a clone of Barry himself, created as part of a time travel trick to engage his nemesis using multiple Time Remnants, which essentially enable to a more than one Barry to exist at the same time.

He was supposed to die during the fight, but... He survived, eventually becoming Savitar himself. He was driven to that point because noone knew how to deal with him. He was abandoned. He was an unwanted Barry remnant in a reality where the original Barry still existed.

He was a miserable clone who had been discarded.

# Phantom Ganon, Ocarina of Time's Forest Temple Boss

His story is much simpler than Savitar's, but it's still uncommon and unforgiving. He was created to become the guardian of the Forest Temple under Ganondorf's command, but he wasn't just a copy. We could say he was alive, having a mind and fate of his own.

Unfortunately for him, the Hero of Time managed to defeat him. But he didn't die. Upon entering a clearly agoniating state, the original Ganondorf himself projected his thoughts onto the room, stating how disappointed he was, then forever banishing Phantom Ganon to a void between dimensions.

He was a miserable clone who had been discarded.

So there you have it #gaming, an oddball in common between two entirely different universes. Kind of saddening, but they're bad guys, so whatever I guess.
