Noteworthy Battle in Splinterlands - Magic Undone

# Top Battle in Gold League

Today, we're looking at a battle between @emzamyjr and @dagger212. Again, we see Lorna Shrine winning against another strong summoner, Alric Stormbringer. Considering these chosen monsters, wouldn't this be the ultimate strategy vs magic?

The first thing I notice when looking at both teams is just how superior Pelacor Conjurer is when compared to Kelp Initiate. Although Kelp would bolster 1 extra energy point and higher health at level 6, standing at 8 HP, his abilities are incredibly lacking.

Who wouldn't trade 1 HP and 1 Energy for Flying and Magic Reflect? Even Flying on its own is the superior status/ability, since it adds more extra chance to dodge than just a single extra energy stat.

Thanks to choosing the most cost-efficient monsters, this life splinter frontliner kickstarts the battle in a great way, specially because of the new Amplify ability. In my opinion, @dagger212 would have won even if they had chosen something less efficient than Venari Spellsmith.

In every case, it's very rewarding when we see current cards becoming meta. Old cards might be powerful, but what's being printed at the moment is clearly valuable and worth of holding for the long term.

How efficient were @dagger212's choices? Comboing Pelacor Conjurer, Prismatic Energy and Venari Spellsmith together destroyed half of the enemy team even before retaliation began.
