On Steemfest I heard @neilstrauss' talk.
It was about tips for writers.

## Among other things, he introduced the concept of *pk*; 

To keep a steady workflow, he suggested to just replace anything with a _pk_ that you can't come up with on the spot - such as names you need to make up and perhaps facts that you can check later.
This way you can just keep writing and replace the _pk_ some time later.

### Fun fact:

In German you can come up with new words as you go, by combining multiple nouns.

_Donaudampfschiffahrtsgesellschaftskapitän_ is a legit word in German.

For the _pk_-concept to work, I need to use _PK_ in capital letters to make sure it isn't part of a new word, that I just came up with.

I have been using variables before, but they were in the form of _name1_, _name2_, _fact1_, etc ...

I'm trying to write the story I have in mind in German first.
My English simply isn't good enough to just _flow_ and write it down quickly.

Still, I can try to use Steemit in English to fill some of the gaps my story has.

Once I'm confident, that my text isn't 50% _PK_, I will then try to follow @neilstrauss advice and write it all down within a set timeframe. 
The way I have approached this before, I have never finished a full story.

Since my story will be purely fictional and set in a distant future, there are a lot of gaps to fill.

#### For the first chapter - which seem to be the hardest - I still need a set of names.

### player1:
- male
- living in a distant future from now
- around 14 years of age, still in school
- tough, smart, calm
### player2:
- male
- living in the present
- mid 30s
- smart, lazy 
### player1's parents: 
- strict, loving, well-mannered
### npc1&2:
- from the same time as player2
- around the same age as player2

If you could help me find good names for these characters, I will then go ahead and make a sketch each for player1&2. (I like Twain a lot and I think my novel needs some pictures)

For player1&2 I need a last name; for the rest a first name will do.

This is not a challenge and I can't reward you for helping me find these names, but maybe you enjoy helping me with this.

If I manage to finish this project, I will mention you somewhere :)
