Hello hivers, how is everyone doing. It’s my first time posting a blog here.

I attended the achievement and recognition day of my sister who is in college. She asked me to accompany her in their school because she said that they need a parent or a guardian wherein there’s a parade to be transpired. The ceremony would start at 1 o’clock pm so we headed there at 11 o’clock am. In the morning, different department of colleges already received their certificates. We rode to a jeepney. But because there’s still time, we decided to wait at the six gates of their school. She also mentioned that we’ll going to wait her friends here. While waiting, we took selfies together. There’s a vendor selling flowers but I did not think of buying it wherein I believe my sister doesn’t need it and she’s that person who doesn’t entice with glamour things – she prioritizes what she needs over wants.

 My sister is in her first-year college taking Bachelor of Science in Forestry.  Before, she wanted to take either of these two: Criminology or Bio-Engineering. I don’t know what change her mind to enroll this course but even what field she chooses, we’re still here as her family to support her always. By the way, this sister of mine was the sixth child among the nine siblings.

Then , I browse the program booklet where they listed all the students who garnered that average of 90% to 100%. My sister had the average of 1.55(94). She’s at third place on the list from first year until fourth year. I’m very proud of her knowing that she’s in pressure. She doesn’t tell us about this. But my other sister told us this great news. We’re delighted to know about it. Did you know that this sister of mine? She’s the person who doesn’t go out with us; she’s always at her room or else in the living room studying. If she wants to go out, she’s with her friends. Despite that, she’s very studious, for me, I like to roam around with or without friends. When there’s exams and quizzes, she advanced reading her notes. I saw also where she listed those key words in small notebook. These made me even prouder.  The sweat of our parent didn’t disregard for the reason of my sister is studying well. Because of her determination, perseverance, dedication, and being tenacious, she reaps her fruit of labor. 

After how many minutes passed, her friends arrived. They look pretty too with dresses. We headed to the open court; a lot of students were there together with their parents/guardians. We arranged ourselves according to the number on the booklet. There’s a photographer taking pictures, so we took pictures together, it feels like she’s graduating haha. We took photos on my phone too gladly.

A few moments, the teacher said, we need to settle down because the parade would start. So, it begun, the college of forestry lead in until other colleges followed. We headed to the gymnasium.

 I find the seat in front in the bleachers as they told us parents to seat here. The ceremony started. When the speaker delivered her speech, she inculcated us the power of being determined whereas students must keep going no matter what. They should not give up on their dreams – this is just the beginning. As I gazed my eyes towards my sister, I can see that she’s really listening actively. As they announced now to receive their certificates, I’m very excited to witness my sister receiving her certificate on stage.  I can’t contain what I feel for every student who received their certificates. When my sister was the next, I’m very HAPPY. I took a photo so I can show it in my family.

Everyone was cheerful too, when the band dedicated a song for them, what a  best feeling to witnessed  them serenading the achievers. After all students received their certificates, I find them to take photos with her friends. My siter have two friends. I’m glad that she knows her circle – that is to be friends with people who have the same goals. They look all pretty with brain hehe.

After this, we left the gymnasium, and bid farewell to her friends. We decided to go directly in their boarding house as it is already evening. By the way the program took four hours because they have lots of achievers.
