<div class="text-justify">In an unexpected turn of diplomatic events, Mexico has filed a complaint against Ecuador at the International Court of Justice in The Hague. </div><P/>
<div class="text-justify">The reason for this complaint lies in the storming of the Mexican embassy in Quito, an incident that has left an indelible mark on the relationship between the two South American countries. </div><P/>
<div class="text-justify">Mexico demands that Ecuador be tried and punished for this flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.</div><P/>
<div class="text-justify">The assault on an embassy is an unacceptable act under any circumstances. Embassies are sacred spaces, protected by international law, where diplomatic representation takes place and dialogue between nations is fostered. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">The fact that Ecuador has allowed and, according to Mexico, even encouraged this act of violence is an affront to the international community and to the fundamental principles of mutual respect between states.</div><P/>
<div class="text-justify">Mexico, as a country directly affected by this incident, has every right to seek justice and reparation. </div><P/>
<div class="text-justify">The complaint filed before the International Court of Justice seeks not only to bring Ecuador to justice for this unlawful act, but also to impose appropriate sanctions. </div><P/>
<div class="text-justify">It is imperative that the international community speaks out and strongly condemns this type of action, in order to prevent its repetition in the future.</div><P/>
<div class="text-justify">The relationship between Mexico and Ecuador has not always been tense. The two countries have shared historical and cultural ties, as well as common interests at the regional level. </div><P/>

<div class="text-justify">However, the attack on the Mexican embassy has generated a fracture in this relationship, calling into question the trust and mutual respect between the two countries.</div><P/>
<div class="text-justify">From an editorial point of view, I strongly support Mexico's decision to take this case to The Hague and demand justice. </div><P/>
<div class="text-justify">The storming of an embassy cannot go unpunished, as it would set a dangerous precedent that could undermine the security and integrity of diplomatic missions around the world.</div><P/>
<div class="text-justify">I hope that the International Court of Justice in The Hague will conduct a thorough and fair investigation into this incident.</div><P/>
