Hace unos 2 o 3 años atrás una vecina hacia mantenimiento en su jardín, estaba podando las plantas y entre ellas algunos rosales, sin yo pedirle ella decidió darme varias ramas de rosas, al llegar a casa sembré algunas directamente en la tierra y otras las coloque en un recipiente con agua porque sinceramente no sabía nada respecto a la reproducción de rosas y pensé si no prosperan las que sembré en tierra me quedan las que tengo en agua. Para mí sorpresa de todas las ramas que me dió mi vecina solo una prosperó (de las que sembré directamente en la tierra) y esa fue la primera especie de rosa que tuve en mi jardín, es una rosa roja pequeña, pero muy linda.

About 2 or 3 years ago a neighbor was doing maintenance in her garden, she was pruning the plants and among them some roses, without me asking her she decided to give me several branches of roses, when I got home I planted some directly in the ground and others I put them in a container with water because honestly I did not know anything about the reproduction of roses and I thought if the ones I planted in the ground do not prosper I have the ones I have in water. To my surprise of all the branches that my neighbor gave me only one thrived (of those that I planted directly in the ground) and that was the first species of rose that I had in my garden, it is a small red rose, but very pretty.

Tiempo después otra vecina llegó a mi casa y preguntó si me gustaban las rosas cuando ví sus manos (tenía en ellas un rosal) me dió pena decirle que no y le dije: si, ella me regaló una especie de rosa rosada pequeña,  plantada en una bolsa plástica, de haberle dicho que no me hubiese arrepentido toda la vida, pues ahora es una de mis rosas favoritas.

Some time later another neighbor came to my house and asked if I liked roses when I saw her hands (she had a rose bush in them) I was ashamed to say no and I told her: yes, she gave me a kind of small pink rose, planted in a plastic bag, if I had told her no I would have regretted it all my life, because now it is one of my favorite roses.

La primera y única especie grande que tengo (hasta ahora) me la regaló la tía de mi esposo @milindasblog, ella me dió una rama y prosperó rápidamente, está especie es una rosa roja grande el color de sus pétalos es un espectáculo, me encanta su color y la fragancia que expide no tengo palabras para describirlo, a veces en mi tiempo de ocio me pregunto a mi misma: y si empiezo hacer perfumes con fragancia a rosas? 🤣 me lo tomo a juego pero quizá algún día lo intente, porque no?, No hay límites en un mundo infinito.

Aún cuando me gustan mucho la rosas, no siento esas ansias por tener más y mas como si me ocurre con otras plantas, es algo adictivo difícil de explicar pero que espero algún día puedan experimentar (me salió un verso sin esfuerzo 🤣), lo que si me producen estás plantas son ganas de inventar o innovar con ellas, una vez una amiga que quiero mucho me contó que se iba a casar y no tenía arreglo floral, y quién se lo hizo? Pues yo 😎 quizá no es el arreglo más glamuroso y extravagante, pero lo hice yo con mis propias plantas y manos, la satisfacción que eso generó en mi no me lo puede quitar nadie, como dicen en mi pueblo: nadie me quita lo bailado 🤣 y al mismo tiempo pude contribuir a qué mi amiga tuviese su hermoso buquet, ya que, tenía un presupuesto limitado para su boda y como todo fue rápido fue una especie de salvavidas.

Even when I really like roses, I don't feel that craving to have more and more as I do with other plants, it is something addictive hard to explain but I hope someday you can experience (I got a verse without effort 🤣), what these plants do produce in me is the desire to invent or innovate with them, once a friend I love very much told me that she was getting married and had no bouquet, and who made it for her? Well me 😎 maybe it is not the most glamorous and extravagant bouquet, but I did it with my own plants and hands, the satisfaction that this generated in me no one can take it away from me, as they say in my town: nobody takes away what I danced 🤣 and at the same time I could contribute to my friend to have her beautiful bouquet, since she had a limited budget for her wedding and as everything was fast it was a kind of lifesaver.

En cuanto al cuidado son plantas propensas a contraer enfermedades, hongos y son la comida preferida de algunos insectos y gusanos, también es muy frecuente que las arañas tejan sobre ellas y depositen sus huevos, es por esto que frecuentemente riego tanto la tierra como el tallo y hojas de mis rosales, también me ha funcionado muy bien lavar las hojas afectadas con una esponja humedecida en una mezcla de jabón y agua (recomendación de una amiga que cultiva todo tipo de plantas), pero en términos generales son muy fuertes y se regeneran muy rápidamente. Constantemente hay que podarlas, porque pueden crecer mucho y particularmente no me gustan esas largas ramas sin flores, al mismo tiempo puedo sembrar esas ramas y reproducir la especie.

As for care they are plants prone to diseases, fungi and are the favorite food of some insects and worms, it is also very common that spiders weave on them and lay their eggs, this is why I frequently water both the soil and the stem and leaves of my roses, it has also worked very well to wash the affected leaves with a sponge dampened in a mixture of soap and water (recommendation of a friend who grows all kinds of plants), but in general terms they are very strong and regenerate very quickly. They constantly need to be pruned, because they can grow a lot and I particularly don't like those long branches without flowers, at the same time I can plant those branches and reproduce the species.

Las rosas son las plantas ideales, pues, además de darle color y belleza a tu jardín, pueden ser fácilmente comercializadas, ya que mucha gente regala rosas en ocasiones especiales o simplemente como un detalle por lo que representan una fuente de ingreso que en lo personal aún no he explotado pero que si forma parte de una de mis metas a largo plazo, pues tengo muy pocas plantas ahora.
