&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;La vida era gratificante. Más, si el reconocimiento llegaba luego de una larga carrera en el competitivo mundo del diseño. Es por ello que Sebastián sonreía para sus adentros, mientras boceteaba lo que sería para él su obra maestra. Había tenido que apurar el paso, porque prefería tener más tiempo al final del proyecto, con el fin de ajustar cualquier detalle. No podía permitirse fallar. No con su prestigio en juego.

Ella había pasado los días duros con él siempre apoyando, le acompañaba a veces en largas horas de desvelo, mientras él explayaba su genio creativo en la mesa de dibujo o en el software de computadora. Sí, este último, aprendido a trancazos para no quedarse fuera del mercado de trabajo, al competir con las nuevas generaciones.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ella abrió la puerta del estudio con una taza de café en la mano, él agradecía siempre el gesto porque la aromática bebida le hacía agarrar un segundo aire, cuando él sentía no poder avanzar con la creatividad o cuando no conseguía una solución dentro de los desafíos que planteaba la obra. Se paró de la silla a recibir el café que trajo su pareja, le dió un beso en la frente -como siempre hacía- y se dirigió al baño.

La segunda razón es que ella era responsable de hacer ver cualquier detalle u otro punto de vista que él no habría considerado dentro del proceso creativo, estando ella sola, podría aportar como siempre lo había hecho.

Dicho y hecho, salió del baño, llegó al estudio y su esposa le hizo ver un aspecto de la distribución de las gradas del estadio bajo diseño, que él no había considerado. La felicitó y dió gracias por tenerla a *bordo* en su *equipo.*

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Sebastián pensó, en ese momento, que el diseño le tomaría menos tiempo del debido y se dispuso a repasar con el marcador las líneas esbozadas a lápiz. Paso a paso, algo más sólido empezó aparecer ante los ojos de ambos, una vez que él corrigió las observaciones de su esposa. Ella le besó en la frente y le dejó solo en el estudio. La mañana siguiente amaneció acostado sobre la mesa de diseño y la esposa de Sebastián le llamó, pero sin respuesta. Ella se asustó y llamó al número de urgencias.

Los oficiales de la unidad de servicios forenses de la policía, recolectaron los útiles de trabajo y todo tipo de contenedores que encontraron en la residencia. Efectivamente, el marcador contenía trazas de cianuro guardado convenientemente en un frasco marcado como *bicarbonato,* para no levantar sospechas. La mujer, enajenada como se encontraba, le culpó en secreto y jamás perdonó al diseñador la muerte de su progenie.
