Por segunda semana consecutiva, no existen hechos deportivos dignos de ser analizados. Es decir, claro que han continuado sucediendo resultados en canchas y estadios mundiales, pero si tales proezas no me atraen jamás escribiré sobre ellas. Es un asunto de ética propia y de respeto con mis lectores. Necesito estar emocionado por lo que voy a escribir, es la única manera de redondear algo de calidad. Por ello me atreví a revisar el feed para ver si encontraba algo interesante y me decidí por la iniciativa de @leomarylm respondida por @irvinc y que ha sido la escogencia de la semana para acercar mi vida a quienes me siguen:

El control de las emociones es un arte y el producto de años de experiencia de vida. Jamás se le puede pedir a un adolescente un nivel de control parecido al del adulto, porque la vida no funciona de esa manera. Es a través de los años que tal tipo de control puede prevalecer en la personalidad de cada quien. Sin embargo, siempre habrá un margen de error para todo y habrán situaciones que no puedas controlar. Dicho esto, creo tener un mejor nivel de control de mis emociones que años atrás. Aún, muy de vez en cuando, se me sale el trucutrú.

Primero habría que establecer la diferencia entre controlar la emoción y hacer una gestión de ella. Son dos cosas completamente diferentes. En la primera el intento de control está orientado a la impulsividad, mientras que la gestión tiene que ver con la identificación de la emoción y el manejo de ella. Aclarado el punto, las emociones desagradables existen a la par de otras emociones. El dominio sobre ella tiene que ver con ceder en tu paz interna. Intento tanto como puedo conceder la mayor importancia que sea posible a esa paz de la que hablo.

No, jamás. Es algo contra lo que he tenido que lidiar toda mi vida. Quizás por mi condición de persona líder. Eso es algo que no cae bien en otras personas. Y no es nada personal. Tampoco creo que me hayan nunca conferido una autoridad para ello. Simplemente nací con ese gen. Para mí no es importante caer simpático a nadie, nunca lo ha sido. Crecí en una familia grande y la lucha de hermanos por ganar la simpatía de nuestros padres, supongo que me cansó. Dicho esto, también creo firmemente en si las personas se dan la oportunidad de conocerme a fondo, me encontrarán simpático. Y generalmente sucede así.

El largo camino de la vida cambia a las personas. Digamos que esa disposición de ayudar evoluciona y troca en la madurez. Cuando era adolescente quería cambiar el mundo y ayudar a todos. Mi experiencia como empresario y luego las terapias con psicólogos me hizo cambiar en este aspecto. No puedes jamás ayudar a quien no pide ayuda. Esa es la clave de todo. En el afán de ayudar muchas veces nos metemos en la vida de otro, sin que esa persona lo haya pedido, entonces estamos violentando a esa persona. Por supuesto, la disposición siempre la tengo y lo hago si me piden esa ayuda.

En esto también se evoluciona, pero de una manera paradójica. Cuando se es joven -al menos conmigo ha sucedido así- te es difícil aceptar que te has equivocado y cuando raramente lo aceptas, te aseguras de hacerlo saber a todo el mundo. Por el contrario, llegada la madurez, te es mucho más fácil detectar cuando te has equivocado y lo reconoces rápidamente. También se lo haces saber a las personas involucradas discretamente. Por supuesto, en la medida que la experiencia llega a tu vida, eres menos susceptible a equivocaciones porque has aprendido.

Les va sonar esto a narcisismo, pero jamás he tenido ese sentimiento. Quizás, la vez que estuve más cerca de sentirme acomplejado, era por una desventaja económica. En un viaje, invitado por un proveedor a un gran premio de automovilismo, los acompañantes eran de posición económica alta, algo en lo que trabajaba todavía yo porque era joven. Por supuesto, las salidas a la calle incluían a lugares lujosos en los que no podía pagar los altos precios. Menos mal que quienes me hacían compañía lograron entender mi posición y pagaban por lo mío. Pero eso me hizo sentir mal. Fuera de ello, nunca me he sentido acomplejado por nada.
