Before a "<em>Great Brutal Event</em>" most nations seem to have a loose internal connection when compared to after the "<em>Great Brutal Event</em>". In my country(Brazil), for example we had several separatist movements north and south with a famous one, the "<em>Farrapos War</em>" being a source of great pride to people in my state today. But after the <strong>Paraguay War</strong>(our "<em>Great Brutal Event</em>"), it seems that all separatist movements started fading away and we began seeing ourselves more as Brazilians than members of a smaller nation in each province.

For that reason I believe after this War of Russian Agression ends the Ukrainians will have a stronger national identity and it will weak severely every sectarian movement within the country. It seems nothing unites more a country than a foreign aggression. I might hate my neighbor but we soon forget our differences when a serious threat comes from out of our small town.
