Ejercicio de dibujo con carboncillo natural y una breve reflexión literaria y mitológica

En primer lugar gracias a todos por el apoyo, me han ayudado mucho últimamente. Gracias a ustedes he podido seguir con mi sueño de aprender a dibujar y pintar, gracias a la Hive he podido ir comprando lápices y materiales para invertirlos en mi pasión.
Ahora sí, entremos en materia. En este ejercicio de dibujo que ven en las fotos se observa la imagen de una deidad o un héroe helénico. El ejercicio en cuestión es la lámina número 68 de la primera parte del "Curso de dibujo" de Charles Bargue [el famoso "Course de Dessin" del que tanto les hablo]. Bueno, pues resulta que esa lámina del libro dice que esta figura representa a Aquiles, el héroe griego más grande, un personaje semihistírico, similegendario, casi mítico, un semidiós según Homero. Aquiles es el héroe con el que empieza la Ilíada. "Canta, oh musa, la cólera del pelida Aquiles..." [μῆνιν ἄειδε θεὰ Πηληϊάδεω Ἀχιλῆος οὐλομένην]. Esa diosa, de la que habla el poeta es la musa que inspira a los aedos. Recordemos que esos textos se recitaban de memoria, o mejor dicho se cantaban. Un libro maravilloso, lleno de detalles sobre la vida y obra de todos esos personajes de la antigüedad griega.
Aquiles es la representación del ideal griego de belleza en esa época, por despecho, porque le matan a su pareja desata una terrible lucha contra los troyanos y termina cobrándose la vida del bello Héctor, el mayor héroe de los troyanos, un príncipe, que también representaba esos ideales de nobleza y valentía.
Pero es indudable que en esos libros estamos ante las narraciones de unos vándalos violentos, los reyes desatan la guerra y la invasión prácticamente por obtener "recursos" llámense esposas, sirvientas, esclavas, oro, etc... Era una época terrible. Mucho dependía del caudillismo. Bueno, todavía hoy algunos regímenes políticos terribles dependen de esas figuras.
En fin, pero ¿se trata realmente de Aquiles, el héroe representado en la lámina del libro de dibujo? Pues parece que no, los expertos han reconsiderado la idea de Bargue, al parecer se trata más bien de Ares. EL dios de la guerra. Pero que era también representado físicamente de una manera parecida a Aquiles. Ares encarnaba la guerra en sí. EL lado "bueno" o deseable por decirlo así era el coraje, pero lo malo era más amplio. De hecho unos de sus hijos eran nada más y nada menos que Deimos y Phobos, es decir el miedo y el terror en sí, hechos dioses, personificados.
Ares era una figura terrible es lo peor que podemos imaginarnos de la guerra, una personalidad violenta lo caracterizaba, una fuerza salvaje, lo sangriento. Lo deleitaban las espadas, las flechas y la sangre según un himno órfico. Ese dios, como cualquier otro tenía su culto, sus rezos, sus sacrificios y sus templos. Pero son escasas las representaciones griegas, por eso esta estatua es una joya. Parece que pudo haberla hecho alguien imitando una griega que se perdió. A diferencia de Ares, su hermana Athena era más bien el caracter estratégico, la inteligencia en la guerra.
Esta estatua del ejercicio de dibujo se llama el Ares Borghese y al parecer proviene es de la antigua Roma imperial. Bien sabemos la asimilación de los dioses y las ideas religiosas que hacían los romanos, además una figura como la de Ares los identificaba muy bien. Eran brutales e implacables.
El ejercicio de dibujo lo hice sobre una hoja de papel muy delgada, no sabía qué hacer con ella e intenté ver si el carboncillo se fijaba, me agradó bastante el poro, sé que es un papel de calco pero no lo uso para eso. es muy bonito, siempre me ha gustado porque protege bien los dibujos de los blocks. La hoja es bastante grande es de 48x32.5 cm.

Anyway, but is it really about Achilles, the hero depicted in the picture in the drawing book? Well, it seems that no, experts have reconsidered Bargue's idea, it seems that it is rather Ares. The god of war. But he was also physically represented in a similar way to Achilles. Ares embodied the war itself. The "good" or desirable side so to speak was courage, but the bad was broader. In fact some of his sons were none other than Deimos and Phobos, that is to say fear and terror itself, made gods, personified.
Ares was a terrible figure is the worst we can imagine of war, a violent personality characterized him, a savage force, the bloody. He was delighted by swords, arrows and blood according to an Orphic hymn. This god, like any other, had his cult, his prayers, his sacrifices and his temples. I did the drawing exercise on a very thin sheet of paper, I did not know what to do with it and I tried to see if the charcoal was fixed, I was quite pleased with the pore, I know it is a tracing paper but I do not use it for that. It is very nice, I have always liked it because it protects well the drawings of the blocks. The sheet is quite large, 48x32.5 cm.
