Kitchen Friday usually begins on a Thursday evening.  This week, the disk light through the doors to the front stoep was beautiful. This was my view as I worked.

Rambo is beginning to take his supervisory duties much more seriously ans is becoming more adventurous - insofar as inside is concerned. His tail is up a lot and he really likes attention and company. Very difficult to photograph a moving cat with one hand...

So, trying to get him to venture in, we've started bringing his bowl in. Last night when The Husband came up to bed, he was, apparently curled up on the rug under the dining room table. The back door was hooked ajar. We don't want him to feel trapped and spray...

The rest of the day was in the kitchen during which the first of friends' first batch of free range chickens arrived. The biggest chickens we've seen in a ~~while~~ long time.

A longer evening at the local. A "returnee" to the village joined us. Let's just say, she's had a some "stuff" and needed to talk. The Husband klapped the pickled fish (not reserved for a final order) and I happily ate a bowl of ratatouille...
