Sorry, your system should not require anyone to signup for anything and even if you do go that route you should use Steemconnect which is trusted and open source.

All you really need to do is ask people to delegate SP to the account you plan to use to counter grumpy.  So if someone wants to support they can just delegate to that account however much SP they wish to donate and take it away whenever they wish to stop supporting you.

Easily done with bots, that's what these abusers use after all.

@firedream I am sorry but I don't think I can actively participate in the resistance. It seems the bot owners would want to free ride on any interventions. And I just dont understand why we would subsidize non GC compliant upvotes which seems like only way to resist is make his intervention just destroy lots of money while making GC net effect zero so actors can just ignore, but the real price would have to be over what the people even send since not just the cost of of the bid, but the opportunity cost of just using a substitute and not having your money locked up as long as it takes for a refund which is unknown until GV strikes so some time value loss to money advantage to the nature of the GC intervention. But if bot owners are not willing to pay such cost then completely pointless to reward them that for free to what real benefit? 

I'll be honest I was making a killing for a few days getting 6day upvotes like10-30% returns which is like exponential growth, which it is anyways, but much shorter interval. It was great would love to go back to that for a bit so I can make a killing. But perhaps that is non sustainable, it would cause inflation and devalue steem/sbd by having a significant expansion in the money supply (at least for one special group of actors) without a concurrent and sufficient expansion in utility which, is just whatever people who value steem value.

I've got 100 sp on it. If it is re tooled to only protect people outside of GC compliance. It sucks the bots aren't protecting them and GC isn't either. I will not be subsidizing the upvote bots who could easily have done this a while ago, or at least done it for the collateral damage.

GC unvoted his attack on me so i mean I wasn't collateral damage ultimately, just my time and life was wasted so to that extent I was but worth it to catalyze an important conversation. Which I mean he wants to do what he thinks is right--or profitable--he has the right do what he wants with his proeperty-- and perhaps the collateral damage forces you and me to not sit on the sidelines anymore.

I really don’t get how it can police steemit. I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to use bits that were older than 3.5 days, which begs the question: why the fuck do they allow them? Basically @grumpycat is just stealing money from people. How can this be possible in a “decentralised” network?

One problem; @grumpycat can flag after the 6.5 day mark, and you can't upvote after that. The only way to get around this (that I've found) is to upvote a newer post instead. 

Also, @danielsaori wrote an awesome <a href="https://github.com/E-D-A/steem-counterflag/blob/master/vote.py">counter vote script</a> that counts flag/s  value and neutralizes up to the exact reward with an upvote. This may be a good piece of the puzzle to get you started.

This is basically a proposal to reform bots altogether. I want to do subscription-based bots (not just voting) for users. Users can subscribe to services that bots provide through SP delegation. Services are retained as long as delegation is continued.

I recommend this as a solution because it's possible to deploy a voting bot to this platform that uses delegated SP from subscribers to give them benefit. It doesn't take your SBD/STEEM and only grows through curation SP; therefore, the more it curates, the more it grows. Thus, you would be cultivating something to eventually combat the demon cat.

We must become united on this issue because this is clearly someone trying to play dictator here on Steemit. If he would leave a comment stating the points he did with out downvoting and instead stuck to down voting actual scam content I could understand. But in his little war with sneakyninja he doesn't actually hurt them are take away any business. All grumpy cat does is piss off normal people who are trying to get by. Keep us informed as I would gladly contribute to such an endeavor as you describe.
