I appreciate the honesty in your post plenty of people on social media like to make work travel out to be the most glamorous thing on earth, i for one am not a fan. I'd fight for a skype call and make sure we can do things remotely as far as possible, travelling is the last resort to me

I'm also not one to be able to work and travel and at the same time, it's just not for me if I leave the country don't expect my best work. I work best when im tied to my pc for hours with my headphones on and left undisturbed

We all have to find out own work-life balance that works for them and its something a lot of people struggle with including myself in the first few years of work but now im starting to see what works best for me. How long i can be constructive for without burning out and becoming useless and brain dead.

so true. always take the time to enjoy the moments that matter and especially the ones that take your breath away. been there and can honestly say that as tiring as it's been, it's been well worth the rollercoaster from place to place. take time for your projects, take time for your loved ones but more than anything, make time for you!

wow .. your exploration of the world is great, I think you to be take the necessary rest, take care of your health and have a great time, the first thing is to be in good health to continue fully in your personal work and your virtual work, I'm glad that there are many known steemit users, you should create a community

While I can still operate my Steem activity on a phone while I'm away from my PC. I can only do it with reduced efficiency. Participating in Steem actually makes me crave for a portable workstation like a tablet or ultrabook. Maybe when Steem goes up to $10 I shall withdraw some of it for the new gadget fund.

You do a huge amount of travel and that shows you have dedication in your work, Means even  you are on a travel still you write post.

I know that much of travel makes us exhausted. Because i am a traveller too. And also i am from India. And i have started a TRAVEL SERIES here. So you may like that.

@firepower, I know some people who just operate from a mobile phone. The main reason I don't like using a smartphone is that it is not so smart. Also, thanks to immensely slow networks we have in India. I hate going to mountains when I know I will not be connected with my work. I live and feed on the internet. It's my bread and butter. It also limits me to go to places where I know connectivity is limited. Hence, I plan to go such places where I know I can find a cafe all around with kickass wifi. 

Also, I plan holidays where I do not take out my phone at all for 4-5 days. Just keep it the bag for any kind of emergency. Also, I never take out my phone when I am with friends or in a business meeting. 

I think you need a PA who can write and do stuff for you when you are on the go. You just make a call or maybe write your post on paper and send the picture to them. They will post it for you. :-D Cheers!

I know bro that when we do work with full energy and concentrate we get experience but outside our world  there is also a world. We missed it.

You are putting so effort on your work and crowing this community. 

Your Hard work pays. Your are write lot of people missing you also because you did't get time to reply.

I was just thinking I hadn't seen you much lately! And I totally get the difficulty of travelling and working--both Steemit stuff and music work, for me.  It's really amazing to be able to do it, but I find nearly impossible to really get much done, especially if you're staying with people.  Even without the connectivity issues, I'm with you in the challenge of it!  When I went to San Diego for 10 days, I pre-recorded all of my material lol.

Several startups like Automattic allow employees to work remotely from anywhere.  I've heard/read of a few folks who used that to work/travel at the same time.  I suspect that's somewhat taxing on you, but still pretty cool.

this is my life story. You have it all well said. For the past 5 years I was all over the world, mostly coming back to India. Not having regular job. I was exciting, but yet sometimes I felt unstable. However, I feel so powerful having courage to give trust to life as in the end I am well and all is well, only having amazing experience that is the most valuable thing that I have in my life. It's inspiring knowing the time you dedicate to steemit. You get various people's lives involved in your steemit activities.. teaching people about the platform and creating more awareness. We feel honored having you on steemit.
I do steemit during every activity of my life. While at work, having meals, watching screen where I check on different content written by users. Though i give it a break while travelling. I tried doing it, but it would always result into a headache... Still looking for an explanation for that.

If I am travelling, then that's it. There is no social media. I would solely be having fun. I do use phone from time to time to catch up but only when I am bored. I prefer using the internet mostly from a laptop than from the phone.

I do travel somewhat and moreover, I'm a student. Sometimes It's tough to handle steemit along with my original life. Many times I blog in a phone because I would be in class most of my time. I own an iPhone 5s and you could guess the screen size. Maybe it's a short time problem and I would eventually go through it.

I think you should make some specific set of times in the day to post out your blogs.

Nearly 90% of all the posts I have written here on steemit are on my mobile phone simply because my typing speed is way faster on my phone.
So using my phone for steemit is not much of a problem for me. I even wrote this comment from my phone now :p

As for travelling, that is a different story. I have a serious case of motion sickness and can't travel without medication most of the time. And the medication causes sleepiness, so after I've reached my destination I can't do shit lol.

So i can't even imagine the amount of travelling you do.

We take life too seriously sometimes and forget that the time we spend on issues we think are serious is just a waste of a precious resource at the end of the day.This is the main part of life. This post of yours is learning something to us.

Travel makes one modest, you see what a tiny place you occupy in the world. One's destination is never a place, but always a new way of seeing things. Thanks for this insight @firepower

100℅ of my steemit works starting from the account creation have been done by me in my mobile phone..The longest among them is [This Science Post](https://steemit.com/steemstem/@sathyasankar/is-it-safe-to-use-mobile-phones-during-lightning) I wrote in this week. It took me more than 15hrs to type and compile all this. It exhausts us as we have to bend on our phone always! 

Yes I can live without phone for years..I had quit using mobile phones completely for two years; That too after being a heavy user. But now I have returned to it as it is necessary even to apply for a job!

Hello @firepower I really liked your post. I am also from India, and new to steemit too.
I also love traveling and I know it gets difficult to blog or check steemit account while you are out somewhere.
I really appreciate the effort you put in to make the post.

It is tiring though and after a point you say enough.

Looks like you're having all the fun in the world but the dilemma is to let social media rule you or vice versa and I'd say you're the one in control, so I guess you should take it as it comes, do as you please as long as you aren't hurting anybody along that path, and you'll be okay, I guess?

Seeing how I spend about 3/4th of my day on Steemit, I'd say I let it rule everything else in my life. lol
But I've made plans on reducing my online presence and increase my offline activities, so hopefully that works out.
