Hola amigos de hive, hoy quiero mostrarles un dibujo que hice para probar mis nuevos colores. Esta vez se trata de un ave maravillosa, el colibri. Famoso por el movimiento de sus alas, su pico y sus llamativos colores. Existen muchas especies de colibri y varian de colores y tamaños. Mis colores nuevos son de la reconocida marca prismacolor premier de uso profesional, gracias a mi trabajo en hive pude comprarme una nueva caja, son costosos pero valen la pena. Quiero mostrarles mi trabajo y dejarles una breve explicacion de los pasos mas escenciales a la hora de dibujar y asi puedan entender mi tecnica.
Hello hive friends, today I want to show you a drawing that I made to test my new colors. This time it is a wonderful bird, the hummingbird. Famous for the movement of its wings, its beak and its striking colors. There are many species of hummingbird and they vary in colors and sizes. My new colors are from the renowned brand prismacolor premier for professional use, thanks to my work at hive I was able to buy myself a new box, they are expensive but worth it. I want to show you my work and leave you a brief explanation of the most essential steps when drawing so that you can understand my technique.

En primer lugar hice el boceto con el lapiz de punta mas fina el lapiz 6H.
First of all I made the sketch with the finest pointed pencil the 6H pencil.
Aqui comienzo por la cabeza dibujando las pequeñas alas utilizando varios tonos que van desde el morado mas oscuro hasta el magenta. Estos lapices de colores al ser de mina suave te permite mezclarlos y obtener nuevos matices.
Here I start with the head drawing the small wings using various shades ranging from the darkest purple to magenta. These colored pencils, being soft lead, allow you to mix them and obtain new shades.
Agregamos otros tonos en la parte del cuello para ir luego por el pecho. Los colores utilizados son azul claro y turquesa claro.
We add other tones in the part of the neck to go later on the chest. The colors used are light blue and light turquoise.
En este punto del dibujo decidí tomar otra dirección. Como si estuviera en el mar desorientado, comence a dibujar el fondo sin continnuar con el colibrí, no me sentía cómodo dibujando en el papel en blanco así que tuve que pintar el fondo. Esto me ayuda mucho a ubicar el objeto en su debida dimensión.
At this point in the drawing I decided to take another direction. As if I was in the disoriented sea, I started drawing the background without continuing with the hummingbird, I was not comfortable drawing on the blank paper so I had to paint the background. This helps me a lot to locate the object in its proper dimension.
Despues de usar toda la paleta de colores verdes que trae el set, los mezcle comenzando desde el verde mas claro hasta el mas oscuro, esto con el fin de lograr un efecto de profunidad entre el objeto y el fono, y asi imitar el efecto fotográfico.
After using all the palette of green colors that the set brings, I mixed them starting from the lightest green to the darkest, this in order to achieve a depth effect between the object and the phone, and thus imitate the photographic effect .
Una vez terminado el asunto del fondo continue con las alas del colibrí. La forma en que dibujo las alas es haciendo rayas de abajo hacia arriba, oscureciendo los bordes y aclarando en el inicio de las alas donde se sobrepone otra.
Once the bottom matter is finished, continue with the wings of the hummingbird. The way I draw the wings is by streaking from bottom to top, darkening the edges and lightening at the start of the wings where another overlaps.
El mismo procedimiento use las plumas exteriores. Primero con una capa en claro de amarillo y de ahi degradando a verde, azul y naranja.
The same procedure uses the outer feathers. First with a clear coat of yellow and then degrading to green, blue and orange.
Continuamos con el pecho y las alas utilizando el mismo procedimiento y siempre degradando los colores desde el mas claro hasta el mas oscuro.
We continue with the chest and wings, using the same procedure and always degrading the colors from the lightest to the darkest.
Hemos finalizado con el colibri y continuamois coloreando el palo donde esta posado.
We have finished with the hummingbird and continue coloring the stick where it is perched.
Así como ha quedado finalmente. Puede notarse el efecto fotografico cuando pintamos un fondo desenfocado. En este dibujo dure 3 días haciendolo, me esforce mucho en los detalles para lograr un realismo. Es un poco agotador dibujar las plumas, de igual forma pienso que si hubiera querido durar mas los detalles que habria logrado hubieran sido impresionantes. Pero mi objetivo era probar mis colores y mostrarles un poco de mi técnica. Un dato de vital importancia que pase por alto es que estos colores pueden mezclarse de una mejor manera utilizando un diluyente. La marca prismacolor premiere tiene su propio mezclador pero aqui en mi pais Venezuela es imposible conseguirlo, asi que lo sustituí con aceite para bebés. El resultado ha sido el que esperaba y lo mejor es que luego de mezclar se puede seguir pasando los colores. La verdad es que tiene mucha versatilidad. Just as it has finally been. The photographic effect can be noticed when we paint an unfocused background. In this drawing I lasted 3 days doing it, I worked hard on the details to achieve realism. It is a little exhausting to draw the feathers, in the same way I think that if I had wanted to last longer the details that I would have achieved would have been impressive. But my goal was to test my colors and show them a bit of my technique. One vitally important fact to overlook is that these colors can be mixed in a better way using a thinner. The prismacolor premiere brand has its own mixer but here in my country Venezuela it is impossible to get it, so I replaced it with baby oil. The result has been what I expected and the best thing is that after mixing you can continue passing the colors. The truth is that it has a lot of versatility.
