<p><div class="text-justify">Percy Heath era un contrabajista de jazz norteamericano. En 1947 él y su hermano, el saxofonista tenor Jimmy Heath, hicieron giras con el sexteto del trompetista de bebop Howard McGhee. A finales de los años cuarenta los dos hermanos se trasladaron a Nueva York, donde Percy tocó con los mejores músicos del bebop y se volvió a reunir con su hermano de 1950 a 1952 en la big band del trompetista Dizzy Gillespie. <p><div class="text-justify">Se trata de un tema con mucho swing a tiempo medio que Montgomery interpreta de forma optimista. Su solo es simpático y juguetón construyendo frases sorprendentes, y sigue en la misma manera con su solo utilizando octavas. Su imaginación parece no tener límites. Luego toca inspiradas melodías usando bloques de acordes con una facilidad asombrosa. A continuación vuelve a utilizar las octavas con una maestría infinita y un gusto exquisito, y termina el tema con un pequeño arreglo.</div></p>
<p><blockquote><div class="text-justify">This is a hard swinging, mid-tempo theme that Montgomery performs in an optimistic way. His solo is friendly and playful building up surprising phrases, and continues in the same manner with his solo using octaves. His imagination seems to have no limits. Then he plays inspired melodies using chord blocks with amazing ease. Next he uses the octaves again with infinite mastery and exquisite taste, and ends the theme with a small arrangement.</div></blockquote></p>
