Depending on your engagement maybe even a partnership with me and @scrooger._ <hr> I had the idea to create a bot that both helps Minnows to get more views and connects people with similar interests. Hi @flauwy this sound very interesting on my side as much as i am not a Bot Developer but i am an information technologist student and enthusiast and since i am planing to concentrate on software development i would love to know what is Bot Development in particular,lastly i wish i was a Bot Developer i would join you guys soon, indeed this is a good initiative i wish i knew somebody who can do that i would send him straight away to you,thank you for your post.

What language do you prefer it to be in. Will it be a new project from scratch or is it building off the tools of others? I have a deadline for a scotus filing coming up that I need to focus on, so I doubt I would be the best choice as I will be distracted by the filing.

I don't know anything about programming languages. The only thing I ever heard of is Turbo Pascal and C++. It is build on top of @Cheetah but I don't have its source code.

I never used pascal, and the ++ course I had was basically an introduction to programming course. So c++ was always this powerful language that no one ended up knowing anything useful in what to do with it. Still there are many programming languages that are easy to learn, and mostly what it sounds like you are doing will require sending GET/POST request to webpages and reading the responses, with a few datastores. It's very simple to do, but very few universities teach it. I also don't know the source code of cheatah, but I think that shouldn't be too much of an issue. I am not sure of all her functions. Maybe a script that loads the steemit news entries and stores the url of a new stories into a local database, or file, every n minutes (and special rules for when it first starts or the internet connection dies), that has yet to be stored. And another script that reads each entry in that data store and takes a sampling of continuous words in the order they appear, put quotes around them to do an exact search, and see what google returns. If an exact match is found then do her usual post of an upvote and the warning-maybe put the suspects in a 2nd datafile. At the end of the day have another script either read from that 2nd datafile or read from the steemit comments, and do a post reporting all the users and stories identified. Biggest problem I would think would be if google went on captcha mode if it felt the IP addy was using it too much. Maybe a different search service is used that doesn't use captchas. That would be how I would think is the general way cheatah system is set up. It may need some refinement to reduce false positives; Perhaps a second selection of text, or 3rd, but the general idea. I am not sure what the requirements are for cheetah to go on nuke mode.
