<b>First thing yesterday morning I was in town to pickup grain that was ready Saturday morning but due to the butchering I let it sit for a day. I was dragging ass a bit after the work of butchering so was a little later getting out the door.

The half barrels are a bit better for when the grain freezes since there is no lip on the barrel and the stuff will slide out a lot easier. I have to make sure to get the grain picked up before it is solid or else there is little chance of breaking the frozen block of grain out.

I dropped the two empties at the smaller brewery then headed home.

I got to see the twilight of dawn as I was leaving town which had some nice pinks to it with the crescent moon overhead. By the time I was home it had shifted to daylight though.

Since the grain was partially frozen it would have been a pain to spread in the garden so I dumped it for the animals in the pen. They haven't had any in a few weeks since I have been putting it to the gardens and they were instantly piling onto to it once I pulled the trailer out of their pen.

A bit after noon we had someone drop by the farm to buy 3 of the turkeys we butchered which helps with the available space some. A 10.75, 12.75, and 13.5 pound birds which was two 15 week old toms and a hen.

Poor J was sick for his 9th birthday and he spent time napping, lying on the couch watching Mythbusters, and generally looking like he felt like complete crap. He barely ate during the day until dinner which helped perk him up a bit after. He felt so bad we postponed his cake till he feels better. Poor kiddo then had some crazy ass nightmares last night/this morning that he wasn't waking up from easily. 

While we worked on cleaning up from butchering I pulled all the trays of turkey breast steaks in from the freezer annex (car port) and got them all bagged up in freezer bags. I got 5 or 6 per gallon and smaller chunks in the quarts. It all went back to the annex for now. I have to find another freezer on the black Friday sales to get, probably another 7 cuft that we can fill with just turkey.

Far later of a night than wanted but our friend came down and brought their wood splitter for me to use and she didn't leave till after 9pm. I seriously have my work cut out for me now though as I have to move the rest of the logs into the yard then split them all and stack the wood after.

J might go to school today, we'll see how he is in a bit. My days are looking to be filled with wood splitting and hauling for a while plus I have to cut down a couple of other trees so I can use the splitter while I have it. I have under 20K words left for NaNo with most of them written I just need to connect the sections then edit what I have written already.
