<b>It was raining yesterday morning and it kept at it all day long in little spits. This morning we only ended up with .05" in the gauge while Spokane got half and inch. Still it was enough to wash the leaves off so the garden looks a bit better. I wandered the farm a bit after taking the boys to school and cleaned up the things that shouldn't get wet like the 6 wooden chairs behind the studio.

Since it only sprinkled off and on it gave me chances to be out working. I got the squash picked and was surprised to get 20.75 pounds. It was perfect though as it got me more than enough for my delivery this morning. The weather shows low 80s  and high 70s F for at least the next week so I may just have more harvesting yet to do.

Late morning USPS dropped my package in the mailbox and I was quite happy to find my two bead molds came. These will allow me to form the beads very easily by rolling them in the right sized channel which will true the sides and the shape. Pretty stoked to give them a try, and now that I have my lights for the studio (once I get them installed) I can spend some time playing with them.

I got my labels printed then got my orders staged for this morning. Happy to have 25 of each the Tigger and the Midget melons going.

Once I picked the boys up from school I hooked up the trailer and loaded the empty barrels for this morning.

I chose the easiest by chance of the sleeves to bury. It was digging sand across the gate so the hardest part was keeping the trench open and not having the sand slough back in. I back filled it and raked the area out. I have another couple to bury before I can dissect the wiring and run it all in sleeves.

On the end of the tool shed I took a bit to cut back a bunch of the lilacs that had invaded this side of the foundation wall and also I removed an Oregon grape that was abutting the path and growing into it. It gives me a good bit more space and I am percolating an idea for a storage rack in the space along the wall to the right.

With the freeze dryer done I needed to get it going again so I went to the cooler and grabbed the older box of cucumbers which had 55 but I threw out about 10 that were no good. The rest all got cut into spears, each cucumber in half then each half in fourths. I filled both bowls to the top as I had no idea how many it would take to fill all 5 trays.

@stryeyz got home and gave me a hand loading the trays after we got them and the liners washed. By the end of the 5 trays we had only about 4 or 5 left cut in the bowl which we had with dinner. We left the bottom two trays plain then the next 2 up got salted really well, then the top tray got a coating of Red Robin seasoning. I have another box of 65 cucumbers and more on the plants still so I hope to run another batch of them as soon as these are done.

I have been to town and gotten grain, dropped empty barrels, dropped the co-op orders, emptied the barrels of grain, and now getting my post written. Rain is gone today and I have picking to get to, more work on the electrical for the sheds, install the lights in my glass studio, we have Azure pickup tonight and I would like to grill since the rains damped everything around.
