<b>We had gotten another splash of snow in the evening which was partly rain. The temps have been hovering so there is a pretty good crust built up. We have about 4 inches on the ground around the farm right now.

Mid morning I backed the trailer into the yard and unloaded all the rounds. I got backed in pretty far and managed to not hit the firepit this time.

I moved the splitter up by the gear shed closer to the wood pile then rolled and tossed the rounds out. They are pretty haphazard but they are in the yard which is my basic need met. There is a foot of snow in the forecast for Tuesday night into Wednesday so I have to get it all split and stacked before then.

@stryeyz and my mom went to town for shopping on small business Saturday and I was home with the boys. While they played in house I went for a wander up the hillside in search of the top of a fir tree to make our Christmas tree. Dead center in the group of trees is the one I will take down. It has the fullest but narrowest top I could find so it won't be too big around but will have a lot of branches packed in. So many fir tops are rather sparse so this one is a gem. We have to make space in the house for it first though.

I was out checking on the turkeys and they were all milling about near the coop. They had finished off the feed in their feeder and were all watching and waiting for me to refill it.

With it getting later in the afternoon I let them wait till this morning when I go let them out.

I have these old cubicle panels that were leaning against the tree that has to come down and in hopes of dropping it soon I got them all moved over against the side of the coop. I'll have garden fence to move, guy lines to run and set, and I want to make sure I will have the tree cut up soon as it will be laying across the driving path for grain.

While I was out moving the panels J got a nasty ear ache that had him in a bunch of pain and wriggling and writhing around. I stepped through a bunch of different things from hydrogen peroxide, ear ache drops, cold packs which did help some, hot packs, to finally the 2 things that did seem to work was getting him to chew on taffy to work the pressure bubble he had and colloidal silver in his ear. After a few hours of him being miserable he all of a sudden was much better. 

We watched the Apple cup and the Cougs lose after a fairly competitive first half. 

Today is the party for the boys at the fire station which is going to be a busy day. I will have pizzas and cupcakes to pickup while the kids are doing an escape room theme game.
