Summer squash spacing experiment

Going balls to the walls with my summer squash. I decided to try packing them into the three 40 foot rows in an experiment to see how production ends up. I have basic metrics from prior years in my sales spreadsheet so I am prepared. There are 5 rows here in the main garden and 2 and a half rows beyond. I am guessing I will produce about the same as last year which was 670 pounds of summer squash.

Not sure what this plant is exactly but it gets these masses of tiny white flowers. They are littered around the farm and now we have these bright white masses mixed in amongst the thick undergrowth.

Spent a bit in the creek in the heat of the day and the dog loved his bite/splash/bark game and the boys the echo of the tunnel.

Now we are off to town for a bit of time away from the boys and the house.

The creek is one of the best parts of our property. It is year round and is the BEST in the hottest summer days. Our whole family loves it.
