<h2>A long love story, made "short" - Live music concert, December 1st, 2022</h2>

<div class="text-justify">After a long time, last Thursday I went to see a live concert of <a href="https://www.leonardoangelucci.it/">Leonardo Angelucci</a>, together with the band of his solo-project. I was able to going at his concert because I was finally free from work and the concert venue was in Rome, my city. Indeed, sometimes he plays far away, not in Rome, but I was so happy he organized a date in Rome. Why was I so happy? Because I am very close to his music, his band, and the friendship we have with all of them simply gets over any kind of time and space distance. Lemme tell you why, in my Sunday post, accompanied by the photo-gallery I made of the concert.</div>

<div class="text-justify">Starting from the beginning, in 2015 I had the chance, thanks to my University John Cabot, to get special student-discount tickets for the event <a href="https://www.ted.com/tedx/events/15458">TEDxYouth@Trastevere</a>. TED is a series of conferences organized worldwide and when they take place in a specific city, they are called "TEDx". The topic of the conferences is always different; that time it was about Youth in general, and futuristic projects and ideas brought about by young people. So anyone can participate as speaker to these conferences: you only need to submit an idea, and the organization will select the best and suitable speakers. Every speaker has got 15-20 minutes to present their ideas on the stage, and then they need to leave the stage to the following speaker. It is a great opportunity to get inspired by people coming from all parts of the world. </div>

<div class="text-justify">So I went to that edition of the TEDx because it was organized in my city and the ticket was conveniently very discounted for my university's students. I remember I took a quick look at the program of the event before going there, but I didn't really have any expectations, I was just happy to experience a new kind of event where I could have heard a bunch of good inspiring speeches by people of my own age.
After some speakers and artists who really showed their talents, a full band suddenly stepped upon the stage. And they start playing. And my mind was all of a sudden just blown up by the notes, the tunes, melodies, magic brought about by those young guys playing on that stage. I was completely "shocked" by what I was listening too. For the entire length of their performance I was so captured and amazed that I couldn't even move or do anything. When they finished to playing, I thought "ok, I need to know these guys, they're too fucking good, it's exactly the kind of music I love! I need to follow them and discover as much as I can about them"... and so I did!</div>

<div class="text-justify">Their band's name is <a href="https://www.lateralblast.it/lb/">Lateral Blast</a> and I'll let you discover more about them by clicking on the link of their website. Here instead I want to point out my weird and strong tie with the band. And especially to underline how important all of them have been for me and my life. So after the TEDx event, I started literally to follow them EVERYWHERE. Not only on social media and online in general, but I literally started to go to every concert they would have, in Rome and not only. I was still a student at that time and I had stopped being a competitive athlete so I remember I was pretty free and had plenty of time, so I could move around and go to their concerts every time they would organize one. I went to all their concerts, all of them! I would go to their concerts, take pictures, share them online and make myself be noticed by them... I know, it sounds creepy, but I've always been pretty awkward in trying to get someone's attention ahah! Eventually, they became my friends... unavoidably! I started to be a kind of "official photographer" of the band, I discovered their music was so perfect to me and my photography improved a lot also thanks to me. I began to be super close to Antonello D'Angeli, guitarist and vocalist; we would travel around Sabina, the region where half of the band is from. We started to share very nice moments, entire days, I began to just love the band's world, the people around them, their friends and everyone who had a similar kind of relationship to mine. It was such a great period of my life that lasted at least 2-3 years.</div>

<div class="text-justify">Once, they had to go play a concert in Rome, at a particular venue where I was also asked by Leonardo to exhibit a bunch of pictures of mine, because the concert was more like an art event where music was not the only protagonist. I was noticed by the venue's owner who bought a couple of the pictures I exhibited and then she offered me a small job as official photographer of the venue. I accepted right away and I was so grateful already to Lateral Blast and Leonardo especially for involving me in that concert night, without which I would have never found that job! So I start to work as live music photographer at that venue called "Chinaski." and I had a great chance to be in touch with the entire underground scene of metal and rock music of Rome and not only. </div>

<div class="text-justify">Thanks to their job I met many musicians and artist with whom I still keep a friendship and sometimes I still receive requests of photoshoots or stuff like that. In particular, one night where the venue's owner organized a sort of "metal music festival", a series of bands played and one of them, a couple of days before, contacted me on Facebook, where I used to post all the photos and videos I would take of each concert... well, you wanna know how that simple Facebook message ended up? That guy, the vocalist and frontman of one of those bands, was in search for a photographer for a photoshoot of his band, but actually he was more interested in me specifically than in a photographer in general ahah!!! Well, with that guy, after the photoshoot I actually did for his band, we ended up being in a relationship for almost 4 years! </div>

<div class="text-justify">That relationship was not the only amazing thing I had thanks to the first meeting I had with Lateral Blast years ago at TEDx Event... there is a super long series of people I met and are still very important in my life, special events I attended, and amazing things that happened or I did which would have never happened without knowing Lateral Blast... If I had not purchased, almost randomly, that ticket for that TEDx edition, and if I had not started to follow Lataral Blast almost like a stalker, probably I wouldn't be the person I am right now... in all my flaws and values equally.</div>

<div class="text-justify">I am so grateful to Lateral Blast's music, to Leonardo's music, precisely because thanks to them I was able to live some of the best moments and experiences of my life, and still I am! Thanks to the people I had the chance to meet thanks to them; I really find myself struggling to deeply tell you the importance and deep significance I attach to their music in my life. And it's not just the music, it's mostly the very people they are. So nice, kind, true and simply amazing human beings. I don't think I had ever felt so many great emotions as I did during their concerts or during specific moments which I lived thanks to them.</div>

<div class="text-justify">It kinda sounds crazy and actually creeps me out to think of how much important it is to follow the instinct, and to do things just because you feel like doing them, without thinking too much of any possible consequence or anything else. It's completely crazy to think of how great the impact of our instinctual actions is on our own life and on the others' around us. And even crazier is to think about how all of us is connected to one the other, no matter how aware we are about it: we all influence and have an impact on the others' life, in the bad and good aspects. Today I am just super grateful for having being able to meet these guys: Rosa, Leonardo, Antonello, Tommaso, Alessandro, Matteo. The Lateral Blast are and probably will always be the most important music band for my life. </div>

<div class="text-justify">You can only imagine, how I felt like during last Thursday concert, after I think 2 years that I didn't go to his concert or saw Leonardo in general... I got emotional, I was a volcano of feelings and emotions, I was so happy to be there, to see them playing, to sing Leonardo's beautiful lyrics together with all the audience in the venue. It was a magic night. I swear!</div>

<h2>Una lunga storia d'amore, fatta "breve" - Concerto di musica dal vivo, 1 dicembre 2022</h2>

<div class="text-justify">Dopo tanto tempo, giovedì scorso sono andata a vedere un concerto dal vivo di <a href="https://www.leonardoangelucci.it/">Leonardo Angelucci</a>, insieme con la band del suo progetto solista. Ho potuto andare al suo concerto perché ero finalmente libera dal lavoro e il locale del concerto era a Roma, la mia città. In effetti, a volte suona lontano, non a Roma, ma ero così felice che avesse organizzato una data a Roma. Perché ero così felice? Perché sono molto legata alla sua musica, alla sua band, e l'amicizia che abbiamo con tutti loro semplicemente va al di là di qualsiasi distanza temporale e spaziale. Lasciatemi raccontare il perché, nel mio post domenicale, accompagnato dalla foto-gallery che ho realizzato del concerto.</div>

<div class="text-justify">Iniziando dal principio, nel 2015 ho avuto la possibilità, grazie alla mia Università John Cabot, di ottenere speciali biglietti scontati per studenti per l'evento <a href="https://www. ted.com/tedx/events/15458">TEDxYouth@Trastevere</a>. TED è una serie di conferenze organizzate in tutto il mondo e quando si svolgono in una città specifica vengono chiamate "TEDx". Il tema delle conferenze è sempre diverso; quella volta si trattava di giovani in generale, e progetti e idee futuristici portati dai giovani. Quindi chiunque può partecipare come relatore a queste conferenze: è sufficiente presentare un'idea e l'organizzazione selezionerà i relatori migliori e adatti al tema dell'evento. Ogni relatore ha 15-20 minuti per presentare le proprie idee sul palco, dopodiché deve lasciare il palco al relatore successivo. È una grande opportunità per trarre ispirazione da persone provenienti da tutte le parti del mondo. </div>

<div class="text-justify">Così sono andata a quell'edizione del TEDx perché era organizzato nella mia città e il biglietto era molto scontato per gli studenti della mia università. Ricordo di aver dato una rapida occhiata al programma dell'evento prima di andarci, ma non avevo davvero alcuna aspettativa, ero solo felice di sperimentare un nuovo tipo di evento in cui avrei potuto ascoltare un sacco di discorsi interessanti da parte di gente della mia età.
Dopo alcuni relatori e artisti che hanno davvero mostrato il loro talento, una band al completo è improvvisamente salita sul palco. E inizia a suonare. E la mia mente è stata improvvisamente risucchiata dalle note, i riff, le melodie, la magia provocata da quei giovani ragazzi che suonavano su quel palco. Ero completamente "scioccata" da quello che stavo ascoltando. Per tutta la durata della loro esibizione sono stata così presa e strabiliata che non potevo nemmeno muovermi o fare nulla. Quando hanno finito di suonare, ho pensato "ok, ho bisogno di conoscere questi ragazzi, sono troppo fottutamente bravi, è esattamente il tipo di musica che amo! Devo seguirli e scoprire il più possibile su di loro". .. e così ho fatto!</div>

<div class="text-justify">Il nome della loro band è <a href="https://www.lateralblast.it/lb/">Lateral Blast</a> e vi farò scoprire di più su di loro cliccando sul link del loro sito web. Qui invece voglio sottolineare il mio strano e fortissimo legame con la band. E soprattutto per sottolineare quanto tutti loro siano stati importanti per me e per la mia vita. Quindi, dopo l'evento TEDx, ho iniziato letteralmente a seguirli OVUNQUE. Non solo sui social e online in generale, ma ho letteralmente iniziato ad andare a tutti i loro concerti, a Roma e non solo. A quel tempo ero ancora una studentessa e avevo smesso di essere un'atleta agonista già da un po', quindi ricordo che ero abbastanza libera e avevo un sacco di tempo, quindi potevo spostarmi e andare ai loro concerti ogni volta che ne organizzavano uno. Sono andata a tutti i loro concerti, tutti! Andavo ai loro concerti, scattavo foto, le condividevo online e mi facevo notare da loro... Lo so, sembra inquietante, ma sono sempre stata piuttosto goffa nel cercare di attirare l'attenzione di qualcuno ahah! Alla fine, sono diventati miei amici... inevitabilmente! Ho iniziato ad essere una sorta di "fotografa ufficiale" della band, ho scoperto che la loro musica era così perfetta per me e la mia fotografia è migliorata molto anche grazie a loro, ai concerti dove andavo a fare "pratica". Ho iniziato ad essere vicinissima ad Antonello D'Angeli, chitarrista e cantante; giravamo per la Sabina, la regione da cui proviene metà della band. Abbiamo iniziato a condividere momenti molto belli, intensi, intere giornate insieme, ho iniziato ad amare il mondo della band, le persone intorno a loro, i loro amici e tutti quelli che avevano un tipo di relazione simile a quella che stavo costruendo io stessa. È stato un periodo così bello della mia vita, durato almeno 2-3 anni.</div>

<div class="text-justify">Una volta dovevano andare a fare un concerto a Roma, in un luogo particolare dove Leonardo mi aveva anche chiesto di esporre un mucchio di mie foto, perché il concerto era più una sorta di evento artistico dove la musica non è stata l'unica protagonista. Sono stata notata dalla proprietaria del locale che ha acquistato un paio delle foto che ho esposto e poi mi ha offerto un piccolo lavoro come fotografa ufficiale del locale. Ho accettato subito ed ero già così grata ai Lateral Blast e Leonardo soprattutto per avermi coinvolto in quella serata di concerti, senza i quali non avrei mai trovato quel lavoro! Così comincio a lavorare come fotografa di musica dal vivo in quel locale chiamato "Chinaski". e ho avuto la grande possibilità di entrare in contatto con tutta la scena underground della musica metal e rock di Roma e non solo. </div>

<div class="text-justify">Grazie a quel lavoro ho conosciuto molti musicisti e artisti con i quali ho ancora un rapporto di amicizia e a volte ricevo ancora richieste di servizi fotografici o cose del genere. In particolare, una sera in cui la proprietaria del locale ha organizzato una sorta di "festival di musica metal", hanno suonato una serie di band e uno di loro, un paio di giorni prima, mi ha contattato su Facebook, dove postavo tutte le foto e i video di ogni concerto... beh, sapete come è finito quel semplice messaggio di Facebook? Quel ragazzo, il vocalist e frontman di una di quelle band, era alla ricerca di un fotografo per un servizio fotografico della sua band, ma in realtà era più interessato a me nello specifico che a un fotografo in generale ahah!!! Beh, con quel ragazzo, dopo il servizio fotografico che ho fatto per la sua band, abbiamo finito per stare insieme per 4 anni! </div>

<div class="text-justify">Quella relazione non è stata l'unica cosa fantastica che ho avuto grazie al primo incontro che ho visto dei Lateral Blast anni prima al TEDx Event... c'è una lunghissima serie di persone che ho incontrato e che sono ancora molto importanti nella mia vita, eventi speciali a cui ho partecipato, e cose incredibili che sono successe o che ho fatto e che non sarebbero mai successe senza conoscere i Lateral Blast... <div class="text-justify">Sono così grata alla musica dei Lateral Blast, alla musica di Leonardo, proprio perché grazie a loro ho potuto vivere alcuni dei migliori momenti ed esperienze della mia vita, e lo sono ancora! Grazie alle persone che ho avuto la possibilità di incontrare grazie a loro; Mi ritrovo davvero in difficoltà a spiegare profondamente l'importanza e l'immenso significato che attribuisco alla loro musica nella mia vita. E non è solo la musica, ma soprattutto loro, le persone che sono. Esseri umani così fantastici, gentili, semplicemente veri. Non credo di aver mai provato tante grandi emozioni come durante i loro concerti o durante momenti specifici che ho vissuto grazie a loro.</div>

<div class="text-justify">Sembra un po' folle e in realtà mi fa venire i brividi pensare a quanto sia importante seguire l'istinto, e fare le cose solo perché si ha voglia di farle, senza pensare troppo alle possibili conseguenze o qualsiasi altra cosa. È completamente folle pensare a quanto sia grande l'impatto delle nostre azioni istintive sulla nostra vita e su quella degli altri intorno a noi. E ancora più folle è pensare a come tutti noi siamo collegati gli uni agli altri, non importa quanto ne siamo consapevoli: tutti influenziamo e abbiamo un impatto sulla vita degli altri, nel bene e nel male. Oggi sono solo super grata di aver potuto incontrare questi ragazzi: Rosa, Leonardo, Antonello, Tommaso, Alessandro, Matteo. I Lateral Blast sono e probabilmente saranno sempre il gruppo musicale più importante della mia vita. </div>

<div class="text-justify">Potete solo immaginare come mi sono sentita durante il concerto di giovedì scorso, dopo (credo) 2 anni che non sono andata a suoi concerti o non ho visto Leonardo e gli altri in generale... mi sono emozionata. Ero un vulcano di emozioni, ero felicissima di essere lì, di vederli suonare, di cantare i bellissimi testi di Leonardo insieme a tutto il pubblico presente nel locale. È stata una serata magica. Lo giuro!</div>
