Another type of video that catches my attention are those that tell a story. I think if this one had been on CD, I would have scratched it after playing it 75 times 😆 That's how old I am!
This video by Maluma tells a great story. When it came out in the middle of the pandemic, I listened to it over and over again with the intention that if it happened to me, I would play that song at full volume or send that video and say NOOOOO! to leave him in pain, in a parallel reality. Too much intensity on my part 🤣:

Otro tipo de videos que me llaman la atención, son aquellos que cuentan una historia. Creo que si este hubiese existido en CD, lo hubiese rayado después de colocarlo 75 veces 😆 ¡Así de old soy!
Este video de Maluma cuenta una historia buenísima que cuando salió en plena pandemia y yo siempre de visceral, la escuchaba una y otra vez con la finalidad de que si me pasaba, poner esa canción a todo volumen o enviar ese video y decir ¡NOOOOO! para dejarlo en pena, en una realidad paralela. Demasiada intensidad la mía 🤣:

MTV, HVT, and TELEHIT MUSIC (Mexican) were my three subscription channels, and I remember that my (now) friend would come over to my house to spend the day, and we would sit in front of my 13” color TV, talking, doing homework, and enjoying the videos.
The first one that made me understand that movies had soundtracks and that each one told a story was <b>Marilyn Manson's “Tainted Love,</b> which was also the soundtrack for the movie “Not Another Teen Movie,” which, being about young people, also caught all of our attention:

Ahora que ya tengo tu atención y has llegado por esta publicación, hablaré de lo que verdaderamente era un video; ese que esperábamos la hora, el minuto, el canal porque estaba de número 1 y si lo perdíamos, teníamos que esperar al otro día para volver a verlo 🙃. MTV, HVT, TELEHIT MUSIC (mexicano), eran mis 3 canales por suscripción y recuerdo que (la ahora) mi comadre, venía a mi casa a pasar el día y en mi tv a color de 13", nos sentábamos a hablar, hacer tareas y disfrutar de los videos.
El primero de ellos, que me hizo entender que las películas tenían bandas musicales y que cada una contaba una historia, fue el de: <b>Marilyn Manson- Tained Love,</b> que a su vez fue banda sonora de la película "not another teen movie", que al ser de jóvenes, también captaba la atención de todos nosotros:

Phew! I'm sweating... And I only watched it 😆.
Since MTV was the coolest thing around at the time, everything we saw and consumed went viral (we talked about it word of mouth), for those of us who liked rock and all these alternative rhythms that were offered to us daily. I also remember the era of video games, when internet cafes began to appear and we had to ask our parents for money to go for half an hour and gather around the most viral games.
Red Hot Chili Peppers took advantage of this boom and gave us a video that may be “normal” now, but in our time, it was the newest thing, and we were all amazed watching these types of simulators from the beginning, being in a virtual city, the landscapes, the players' decisions in choosing the character and what to do until the “GAMEOVER” that no one wanted to see, or that one outside the game, when the paid hour at the cybercafé ended 🙃 They gave us everything! Como MTV era lo mas "cool" del momento, todo lo que veíamos y consumíamos se hacía viral (de boca en boca lo comentábamos), para aquellos que nos gustaba el rock y todos estos ritmos alternativos que nos ofrecían diariamente. También recuerdo la época de los videojuegos se hacía presente porque comenzaban a aparecer los cibercafés y era obligatorio pedir dinero a nuestros padres para ir media hora y reunirnos al rededor de los juegos más virales.
Red Hot Chili Peppers, aprovechó este auge y nos regaló un video que quizás ahorita sea una "normalidad", pero en nuestro tiempo, era lo más nuevo que todos quedábamos anonadados viendo este tipo de simuladores desde el inicio, estar en una ciudad virtual, Los paisajes, las decisiones de los jugadores en elegir el personaje y lo que debe hacer hasta el "GAMEOVER" que ninguno quería ver o aquel fuera de juego, cuando terminaba la hora pagada en el ciber 🙃 ¡Nos regaló todo! And if I continue with MTV, I could mention 34 more videos, but I'm going to talk about when CDs started coming out. It was easier to buy the ones we liked and put them on our DVD player to play all day long, without having to wait for a specific time.

And since we're dancing, let's not sit down and enjoy a live video, which is also one of my favorite genres to watch when I want to see the quality of an artist singing with their original voice. I also like to cry with each song and get excited when the audience cheers. The best channel for this is Viña del Mar because it compiles all of its artists' performances.
In this special called “Selena Vive-2005,” Thalia gave an impeccable performance, which gave her career a boost, as she performed one of the most beloved and remembered songs by the Latin audience, Selena.

Y ya que estamos bailando, no nos sentemos y disfrutemos de un video en vivo, que también es uno de mis géneros favoritos de colocar cuando quiero ver la calidad de un artista cantando con su voz original. También me gusta llorar con cada canción y emocionarme cuando el público grita. El mejor canal para ello, es el de Viña del Mar porque recopila todas las presentaciones de sus artistas 💯.
Este especial llamado "Selena Vive-2005", Thalia hizo una presentación impecable, que le dio un pluss a su carrera, ya que interpretó una de las canciones de la más querida y recordada, por el público latino, Selena.

And to top it off, here's a video that, 15 years later, still gives me goose bumps, makes me cry with emotion, and I think it will be a long time before something as brilliant and perfect as this is created again. Oprah couldn't believe her eyes when she saw that no one was moving; I imagine her thinking, “What have I done? These people don't like it,” but it only took her a minute to realize that it was just a setup. Her face was filled with genuine amazement when she saw the audience that stretched as far as the eye could see. It's a gem that we should all see and know about, because as _free cover says: it was a single take 🌟_.

Y para culminar, traigo un video que 15 años después sigue erizando mi piel, me hace llorar de la emoción y creo que pasara mucho tiempo hasta que se haga una creación tan genial y perfecta como la fue esta. Oprah no salía de su asombro al ver que nadie se movía; me la imagino pensando "¡que hice! esta gente no gusta", pero le bastó un minuto para darse cuenta que era solo un montaje. Su cara no paraba de ser un asombro tan genuino cuando vio que sumaba el público que se perdía a la vista. Es una joya que todos debemos ver y conocer, ya que como dice _free cover: fue una sola toma 🌟_.
