¡Hola! Un saludo para mis queridos amigos de Motherhood, espero se encuentren bien y luchando por alcanzar sus metas. Por aquí he estado un poco ausente, el internet ha estado pésimo y adicional a eso mi hija Gabriela y yo nos enfermamos, pero a Dios gracias ya estamos bien, hemos ido mucho a la playa, la brisa y el agua fría supongo hizo efecto en nuestro cuerpo. Pero ya con las pilas puestas y bien recargadas empezamos dando Gracias a Dios por haber permitido que disfrutáramos de 7 días de visitas de mis sobrinos en casa.

La mayoría de los margariteños somos devotos de la Virgen del Valle, es la patrona del oriente del país, también patrona de los marineros, ellos suelen pedirle antes de zarpar para que los ayude a tener una buena pesca. Desde que yo era pequeña mi mama nos inculco esa idea y yo me he encargado de enseñarles a mis hijos sobre la importancia de ser creyentes, creo firmemente que la fe mueve montaña. Así que cada vez que tenemos la oportunidad vamos a ver a nuestra hermosa virgen del valle. Provengo de una familia cristiana católica, de pequeña solía ir a la iglesia con mi abuela materna, ella era muy católica, rezaba mucho, mi mamá cuenta que de joven ella daba catecismo a los niños de la comunidad para prepararlos para poder tomar la comunión y eso nos inculcaron a mí y a todos mis hermanos.

Por otro lado, al frente de la casa de mi abuela paterna, ahí donde crecimos mis hermanos y yo, está la iglesia del pueblo y en navidades era típico ir a la iglesia a escuchar las misas de aguinaldos, eran tan bonitas esas misas, ahorita por el tema de la pandemia casi no hacen misas y si las hacen es con una cantidad mínima de personas y siempre respetando las normas de bioseguridad.

Por todo esto es una tradición que cuando un turista viene a la Isla, no pueda faltar en su recorrido la visita a la Iglesia del Valle y así saludar a nuestra querida virgen. En este caso aprovechamos la venida de los primos de Caracas, ellos son casi margariteños así que saben muy bien quien es la virgen del valle y les encanta ir a visitarla, así que nos dispusimos hacer nuestro recorrido. El Santuario de la virgen queda ubicado en el Valle del Espíritu Santo, Municipio Mariño, muy cerca de Porlamar.

Pienso que como padres debemos alimentar en nuestros hijos valores religiosos esos los ayudara a saber elegir entre hacer el bien y de evitar el mal, así como el de obedecer y tratar bien al prójimo. Los valores religiosos son aquellos que se consideran correctos como el respeto y la honestidad.

Luego de visitar a nuestra hermosa virgen y que nos diera su Bendición no podíamos dejar de desayunar en el Valle, ahí las empanadas de pescado son un atractivo para los turistas y para los propios margariteños.
