Feliz día comunidad, feliz martes

Las historias de los personajes del juego de Rising Star son increíbles. Poder narrar sus historias y darles vida a estos es algo que se disfruta mucho. Por ello, me siento agradecido con la comunidad de [Hive NFTGame Latino](https://peakd.com/c/hive-115120/created) por el espacio y por esta valiosa iniciativa. 

Aunque estoy llegando nuevamente algo tarde a la iniciativa. Cada semana se presenta un nuevo personaje y el de esta oportunidad que les voy a presentar le correspondió a [Thomas](https://peakd.com/hive-115120/@hivenftgamela/risingstar-concurso-la-historia-de-la-semana-con-thomas-esen).

La lucha por el poder, por vencer al otro, por ser el vencedor siempre estuvieron presentes en la vida Thomas. Pero, él siempre estaba del lado perdedor. A él, no le interesaba ganar, vencer ni triunfar. Todos lo aplastaban en cualquier actividad que desempeñaba, deportes, clases u otras actividades. Pasaba siempre desapercibido y tenía sus amigos que eran iguales. Supongo los iguales cuando se entienden se unen. 

Les gustaba su vida relajada y a veces la hacían de más relajada cuando empezaron a aventurarse con la marihuana. Ya estaban algo categorizados como los fumones del lugar, los fumones de la escuela… Thomas sólo se dejaba llevar, ni siquiera era el que daba las ideas en su grupo de amigos. Sus padres estaban preocupados, pero todos los expertos y otros padres decían “esa es una fase, pronto la superará”. Sus padres, aunque hablaban con él, esperaban con todo el corazón que de verdad fuese una etapa.

El tiempo pasó y parecía que la cosa iba empeorando, ya casi no se bañaba, olía a mafafa/chala/grifa/maría (cómo lo quieran llamar) todo el día, incluso su ropa recién lavada tenía ese olor característico y tenía una apariencia de colgado que daba mucha lástima. Así, iba a terminar el bachillerato. Drogado, siendo derrotado en todo y con un futuro muy poco alentador.

Los padres ya no le confiaban dinero a Thomas, así que, aunque solía decirse que tenía todo bajo control, ya estaba considerando robar. Ya sus grandes amigos lo hacían desde hace tiempo y le comentaban que los estéreos de los carros se vendían rápido. En el parque durante la noche iba a ser su primera incursión con una camioneta hippie que vio estacionada y le pareció que estaba sola.

Tenía una especie de palanca y empezó a insertarla en el vidrio de la puerta, para abrirla. Se sorprendió de haber podido entrar, tal y como le explicaban y practicó con sus amigos. Entró sigilosamente y se deslizó para alcanzar el reproductor, mientras estaba aflojando el instrumento, sintió unos brazos que rodeaban el cuello y se asustó, no había revisado la camioneta tan bien como debía. Los brazos se ajustaron y Thomas se durmió.

Despertó en una banca del parque, como era de noche no había nadie por ahí. Pero, si estaba un hombre semi recostado en un árbol frente a él. Se asustó un poco porque, aunque no estaba amarrado se sintió atrapado. Por supuesto, estaba tratando de robar un vehículo y ahora estaba sentado en una banca con un hombre todo raro viéndolo y lo peor no podía moverse.

El hombre, se le acercó y le preguntó si le había hecho mucho daño y Thomas movió la cabeza de un lado mostrándole que estaba bien. Bien, dijo él. Se le acercó con mucha seriedad y le golpeó con el dedo la frente, le dijo que apestaba. Le golpeó la frente nuevamente con el dedo y le dijo que ese no era su camino. Con cada frase le golpeaba la frente con el dedo, le decía, la droga te está matando y esta noche estuviste muerto, incluso ahora estás muerto y le golpeaba la frente con el dedo, le hablaba de lo preocupado que tenía a sus padres y así un sin número de cosas que sin duda eran verdad.

Thomas con cada golpe, sacudía su cabeza como si estuviese sufriendo inmensas descargas que le abrían más los ojos. Ya no quería experimentar eso y empezó a llorar. No se acordaba cuando fue la última vez que lloraba. Pero, ¿por qué lloraba? No sentía dolor por esos golpes, solo sentía que lo tocaba la frente, eso sí escuchaba un gran plas, plas, plas se escuchaba.

El hombre terminó, luego le dijo, te vas a bañar todos los días, botarás tu ropa hedionda y le pedirás a tus padres que te compren algo nuevo, algo mejor, algo elegante y si ellos no pueden hacerlo, irás al refugio y buscarás ropa que donen, una ropa elegante y buena. Luego de decirle eso, colocaba la mano en su cabeza como si fuera a acariciarla. Dejarás a tus amistades que te han influido de tan mala manera y volvía a colocar la mano en su cabeza. Mostrarás, desde hoy en adelante todo tu potencial y colocaba su mano en su cabeza.

Esta vez Thomas con estos nuevos mensajes y con estos gestos se sintió mucho mejor y quería que continuara. Tal vez eran los mensajes que se sentían auténticos y que reforzaban lo que ya nadie creía de él. El muchacho quedó sentado ahí y solo vio lo que tenía que hacer, ya este hombre le había dado la guía que necesitaba. Cuando se retiraba el hombre, Thomas le preguntó ¿Cómo se llama? Él le dijo, soy Leaf, fue un gusto conocerte Thomas y se fue.

Thoma se despidió de Leaf y se preguntó ¿Cómo sabía su nombre? Parece que eso era lo más insignificante que podía preguntar. Sólo quería llegar a casa y cumplir las expectativas de Leaf. Se logró levantar de la banca sin problema y luego se marchó en dirección a su casa. Botó casi toda su ropa, cobijas, abrió las ventanas, limpió su cuarto, se bañó, hizo todos los pendientes que tenía y sin tanto protocolo, le pidió ropa a sus padres y les dijo que quería cambiar su aspecto. Al día siguiente fueron a la tienda y aunque los vendedores se le quedaron mirando esperando que fuera a robar algo, él estaba seguro lo que quería y de lo que era capaz, se sentía seguro. Escogió un traje y camisas manga larga, corbatas, también les pidió a sus padres un corte de cabello y lo dejaron muy elegante. Se había restregado tan bien, que el olor nauseabundo que tenía había desaparecido y aunque daba una primera impresión algo desagradable, lo atendían sin ningún complejo.

Thomas dejó de hablar con sus amigos y a veces se encontraban por ahí, solo cruzaban un par de palabras y seguía cada quién por su camino. Sus amigos lo apodaron el radical, por su cambio tan abrupto de la noche a la mañana y por haberlos alejado. Pero, ellos sabían que era lo correcto, sus vidas era la peor para llevar, así que se alegraron por él.

Thomas mejoró su vida y empezó a enderezarla y conoció una parte de lo peor que puede vivir una persona, pero también se dio cuenta la inspiración que le dio aquel hombre esa noche. Así que Thomas, decidió compartir ese sentimiento con las personas que se llegaron a sentir así alguna vez. Para él, era fácil reconocerlos, eso lo notaba fácilmente en los ojos, ojos muy parecidos a los de sus amigos, a esos ojos que vio por tanto tiempo incluso en el espejo. Él sabía que a sus amigos no los podía ayudar, además después del mensaje de Leaf sintió la necesidad de alejarse de ellos y no mirar para atrás nunca más.

Muchas de las personas a las que se le acercó Thomas, eran drogadictos, bebedores, solitarios o desamparados, personas que sufren mucho y que sin duda, son muy sensibles. Pero, él les hablaba con la intención de influir en ellos de la manera más positiva posible, así como influyeron en él, para que superaran esos malos momentos y que mostraran su potencial. Lo hacía constantemente y algunos salían adelante y aprovecharon sus vivencia y sensibilidad para conectarse con las artes, música, baile, pintura y otros.

Para llegar a más personas, Thomas se puso a dar clases en albergues, internados hasta solía dar charlas en la prisión. Y, aunque no era muy bien recompensado, siempre vestía elegantemente. Se volvió su marca. Finalizando una charla en un albergue, se le acercó una vieja conocida de nombre Terri, una muchacha que superó sus adicciones y se volvió una mejor persona gracias a las palabras de aliento de Thomas. Él tenía un gran poder de persuasión, pero siempre usaba ese don de la manera más noble. 

Hablaron un largo rato, ella le comentó, que estaba mejor y que decidió ser artista, se convirtió en guitarrista y estaba en una banda. Eso le alegró mucho a Thomas y le preguntó dónde la podía escuchar tocar y ella le dijo que iban de paso por la ciudad, pero iban a una noche de micrófono abierto en un club cercano y que había llegado a la charla con la esperanza de encontrarlo. Porque, también recibieron una oferta en una disquera. Ella le dijo: “En la disquera, iban a colocar a alguien como mánager de la banda y esta persona iba a encargarse prácticamente de dirigirnos y hasta administrar nuestros ingresos y todos nos opusimos, queríamos a alguien de confianza nuestra en esta posición y sabes me acordé de ti, yo no tuve una mejor familia que tú, sé que no nos conocemos muy bien, pero quería que fueras parte de mi sueño, quería presentarte con mi banda para que tú fueses nuestro mánager”

Esto dejó sin palabras a Thomas, él no sabía nada de ser un mánager o de música. Parece que Terri le estaba leyendo la mente. Porque siguió diciéndole. Que sabía que él no conocía mucho de la música o de dirigir, pero que contaba con un atributo muy importante y es que se preocupaba por los demás sin esperar nada a cambio y tal vez con esta nueva faceta podría explotar aún más su potencial.

Cuando escuchó esto se acordó de su amigo Leaf que le dijo que tenía un gran potencial por explotar, decidió tomarlo como una señal. Así que, parece que aún estaba en ese estado hipnótico en que lo había puesto Leaf, que sin vacilar mucho cedió a esta petición de Terri. Por lo poco que se acuerda de ella, era una buena chica con algo de baja autoestima, pero que cedió ante las presiones de las malas amistades. Una historia muy parecida a la de Thomas. Pocos minutos después se estaba encontrando con la banda y se llevaron muy bien al punto que lo aceptaron como su mánager.

Thomas, aprendió rápido sobre el mundo de la música, sobre ser mánager, y prácticamente retomó muchos estudios para desarrollar mejor esta nueva profesión que poco a poco lo iba embelesando.

Thomas y su primera banda triunfaron con un rotundo éxito. Rápidamente casos como el de Terri le empezaron a llegar a Thomas, muchas personas a las que él orientó, hasta un par de prisioneros se pusieron en contacto con él. Y, de un momento a otro, ya no era la banda de Terri, luego vinieron muchas más bandas y solistas. Estaba en contacto con las principales disqueras del mundo, con las organizaciones y personalidades más reconocidas de la industria. 

Thomas, estaba viviendo el sueño de la industria. Él continuo con su labor de orientar y ayudar a los necesitados. Pronto se encontró de nuevo con Leaf y lo trató como el amigo de toda la vida. Supo que este era uno de esos personajes que transportan a los artistas y músicos por todo el país, dándoles una grata experiencia de mochileros. Mantuvieron el contacto y Leaf en una de tantas conversaciones que tuvieron, se alegró que la técnica de hipnotismo que le aplicó haya funcionado tan bien. Thomas, de alguna manera sabía que esa noche le hicieron un hechizo raro, pero se alegró que lo hiciera. Él sabía que sin eso, seguro hace muchos años ya estaría muerto...

Happy community day, happy Tuesday

The stories of the characters in the Rising Star game are amazing. Being able to narrate their stories and bring them to life is very enjoyable. For this reason, I feel grateful to the [Hive NFTGame Latino community](https://peakd.com/c/hive-115120/created) for the space and this valuable initiative.

Although I am again arriving a little late to the initiative, every week a new character is introduced and this time I'm going to introduce you to [Thomas](https://peakd.com/hive-115120/@hivenftgamela/risingstar-concurso-la-historia-de-la-semana-con-thomas-esen).

The power struggle, to beat the other, to be the winner was always present in Thomas' life. But he was always on the losing side. He was not interested in winning, winning or triumphing. Everyone crushed him in any activity he was involved in, sports, classes, or other activities. He always went unnoticed and had his friends who were his equals. I guess equals unite when they understand each other.

They liked their relaxed life and sometimes made it more relaxed when they started to venture into marijuana. They were already somewhat categorized as the local stoners, the school stoners... Thomas just went with the flow, he wasn't even the one giving the ideas to his group of friends. His parents were worried, but all the experts and other parents said "That's a phase, he'll outgrow it soon". His parents, even though they talked to him, hoped with all their hearts that it was a phase.

Time went by and it seemed that things were getting worse, he hardly bathed anymore, he smelled of mafa/chala/grifa/maría (whatever you want to call it) all day long, and even his freshly washed clothes had that characteristic odor and he looked like he was hung up on something that was very pitiful. So, he was going to finish high school. Drugged, being defeated in everything, and with a very bleak future.

Thomas was no longer trusted with money by his parents, so even though he used to tell himself he had everything under control, he was already considering stealing. His close friends had been doing it for a long time and told him that car stereos were selling fast. At the park during the night he was going to make his first foray with a hippie van he saw parked and it seemed to him that it was alone.

It had some sort of crowbar and he began to insert it into the glass of the door, to open it. He was surprised that he was able to get in, just as they explained and practiced with his friends. He crept in and slid down to reach the player, as he was loosening the instrument, he felt arms around his neck and was startled, he had not checked the van as well as he should have. The arms tightened and Thomas fell asleep.

He woke up on a park bench, as it was night there was no one around. But, there was a man half lying on a tree in front of him. He was a little scared because, although he was not tied up, he felt trapped. Of course, he was trying to steal a vehicle and now he was sitting on a bench with a strange man watching him and the worst thing was that he couldn't move.

The man, approached him and asked if he had hurt him badly and Thomas shook his head to one side showing him that he was fine. Fine, he said. He approached him very seriously tapped his forehead with his finger and told him that he stunk. He tapped her forehead again with his finger and told her that this was not her way. With every sentence he hit him on the forehead with his finger, told him, the drug is killing you and tonight you were dead, even now you are dead and he hit him on the forehead with his finger, talked about how worried he had his parents and so a number of things that were undoubtedly true.

Thomas, with each blow, shook his head as if he was suffering immense shocks that opened his eyes even more. He didn't want to experience that anymore and began to cry. He couldn't remember when was the last time he cried. But why was she crying? He didn't feel pain from those shocks, he only felt it touching his forehead, that did hear a big plas, plas, plas, plas was heard.

The man finished, then he told him, you will take a bath every day, you will throw away your smelly clothes and ask your parents to buy you something new, something better, something elegant and if they can't do it, you will go to the shelter and look for clothes that they donate, elegant and good clothes. After telling her that, she put her hand on her head as if she was going to caress it. You will leave your friends who have influenced you in such a bad way, and he put his hand on her head again. You will show, from today onwards, your full potential and he placed his hand on his head.

This time Thomas with these new messages and with these gestures felt much better and wanted me to continue. Maybe it was the messages that felt authentic and reinforced what no one believed about him anymore. The boy sat there and just saw what he had to do, this man had already given him the guidance he needed. As the man was leaving, Thomas asked him, "What's your name? He said, "I'm Leaf, it was nice to meet you Thomas," and left.

Thoma said goodbye to Leaf and wondered how he knew her name? It seemed like that was the most insignificant thing he could ask. He just wanted to get home and live up to Leaf's expectations. He managed to get up from the bench with no problem and then left in the direction of home. She threw away almost all her clothes, blankets, opened the windows, cleaned her room, took a bath, did all the earrings she had and without so much protocol, she asked her parents for clothes and told them she wanted to change her look. The next day they went to the store and although the salesmen stared at him hoping he was going to steal something, he was sure what he wanted and what he was capable of, he felt confident. He picked out a suit and long sleeved shirts, ties, he also asked his parents for a haircut and they made him look very smart. He had scrubbed up so well, the foul smell he had was gone and although he gave a somewhat unpleasant first impression, he was taken care of without any complexes.

Thomas stopped talking to his friends and sometimes they would run into each other, only exchanged a few words and went their separate ways. His friends nicknamed him the radical, for his abrupt change overnight and for alienating them. But, they knew it was the right thing to do, their lives were the worst to lead, so they were happy for him.

Thomas improved his life and started to straighten it out and he knew a part of the worst a person can live, but he also realized the inspiration that man gave him that night. So Thomas decided to share that feeling with people who felt that way at some point. For him, it was easy to recognize them, he could easily see it in their eyes, eyes very similar to those of his friends, those eyes that he saw for so long even in the mirror. He knew that his friends he could not help, besides after Leaf's message he felt the need to get away from them and never look back.

Many of the people Thomas approached him, were drug addicts, drinkers, lonely or homeless, people who suffer a lot and no doubt, are very sensitive. But, he spoke to them with the intention of influencing them in the most positive way possible, just as they influenced him, to overcome those bad moments and to show their potential. He did it constantly and some of them got ahead and took advantage of their experience and sensitivity to connect with the arts, music, dance, painting, and others.

To reach more people, Thomas began teaching in hostels, boarding schools and even used to give talks in prison. And, although he wasn't very well rewarded, he always dressed smartly. It became his trademark. Finishing a talk in a hostel, he was approached by an old acquaintance named Terri, a girl who overcame her addictions and became a better person thanks to Thomas' words of encouragement. He had great powers of persuasion, but he always used that gift in the noblest of ways.

They talked for a long time, she told him, that she was better and decided to become an artist, became a guitarist and was in a band. That made Thomas very happy and he asked her where he could hear her play and she told him that they were passing through town, but were going to an open mic night at a nearby club and that she had come to the talk hoping to find him. Because, they also got an offer at a record label. She told him, "At the label, they were going to place someone as manager of the band and this person was going to be in charge of practically managing us and even managing our income and we all objected, we wanted someone we trusted in this position and you know I remembered you, I didn't have a better family than you, I know we don't know each other very well, but I wanted you to be part of my dream, I wanted to introduce you with my band so you could be our manager."

This left Thomas speechless, he knew nothing about being a manager or music. Terri seemed to be reading his mind. Because she kept telling him. That she knew he didn't know much about music or managing, but he had one very important attribute and that was that he cared about others without expecting anything in return and maybe with this new facet he could exploit his potential even more.

When he heard this he remembered his friend Leaf who told him that he had a great potential to exploit, he decided to take it as a sign. So, it seems he was still in that hypnotic state that Leaf had put him in, that without much hesitation he gave in to this request from Terri. From what little he remembers of her, she was a good girl with somewhat low self-esteem, but who gave in to the pressures of bad friendships. A story much like Thomas's. A few minutes later he was meeting with the band and they got along very well to the point that they accepted him as their manager.

Thomas learned quickly about the world of music, about being a manager, and practically took up again many studies to better develop this new profession that little by little was enrapturing him.

Thomas and his first band triumphed with resounding success. Cases like Terri's quickly began to reach Thomas, many people he mentored, even a couple of prisoners got in touch with him. And, from one moment to the next, it was no longer Terri's band, then came many more bands and solo artists. He was in contact with the major record labels of the world, with the most recognized organizations and personalities in the industry.

Thomas was living the industry dream. He continued to mentor and help those in need. He soon met Leaf again and treated him as a lifelong friend. He knew that this was one of those characters that transported artists and musicians all over the country, giving them a pleasant backpacking experience. They kept in touch and Leaf in one of many conversations they had, was glad that the hypnotism technique he applied to him had worked so well. Thomas, somehow knew he had a weird spell cast on him that night, but he was glad he did. He knew that without it, he would surely have been dead many years ago....
