The first thing that came to my mind was that. Currently my country Venezuela has a CPI that is very close to 3000 %, yes, just as you read it at THREE THOUSAND %, to be exact, according to https://datosmacro.expansion.com/ we are talking about 2,665.4 %, and if we take as a reference a country like the United States whose CPI is only 1.7 %, we can say that we are really bad. Currently the cost of the basic food basket alone, this around the equivalent of about 290 minimum wages, and this is one of the reasons why a good number of compatriots have taken Hive and some similar platforms to palliate in this way this great crisis.

Talking a little about my personal case, I am an industrial engineer who just over 3 years ago came to the blockchain world, without any knowledge and with a small son who had just turned 1 year old. Buying vegetables for a family of 5 people, is around $30 a week, and you need at least another $80 to buy groceries, not including protein for which you need about $20 approximately, so a salary of $200 a month, although it is a good salary taking into account that the monthly minimum wage does not reach $1, is still not enough to support a family, so, I always wonder, how do some families survive?

When I decided to be a single mother, I also knew the responsibilities that it brought with it, so I also decided that I would not rest until I could give my son what he needed to cover his needs and if possible offer him even more, at this point I am covering the first point and working on the second. It was not easy at first because when I got pregnant I was going through the worst moment of my life economically speaking, I was unemployed and things at my parents' house, which was where I would go after my separation, were not the best. Then due to complications from the cesarean section my parents were practically bankrupt, so my commitment to them was to give them back what they had lost and if possible, also give them more, a life is worth all the money in the world and they gave it to me twice.

For me having gotten the wonder of decentralized social networking and coming to Hive has simply been a great blessing, as it has allowed me to be able to be at home with my son at all times, when I was working at my last job, I had to leave home at 5:00 am to be at 8: 00 am at the office and then I would end up returning home at approximately 8:00 pm, and in the vast majority of cases I would find my little one already asleep, and all I had to do was ask my mother how the day had gone, take a bath and go to bed to repeat the routine the next day. From there I started practicing co-sleeping and to this day Mathias still continues to sleep with me, something I really love. After about 4 months working I fell into a strong depression, because between thinking that the salary was not enough to make ends meet and that I was missing the best of my son, my brother told me to quit the job that he would support me, and to this day so continues to be, although no longer monetarily, it does so in a moral way that is something very big.

Last year before Covid-19 became known and was declared a pandemic and we were all sent to wear muzzles and be locked at home like wild beasts in a zoo, I had planned that Mathias began his studies in kindergarten or preschool as they say here, something that as I have already said and many imagine was not and has not been possible yet. I tried with the help of a friend who is a psychopedagogue, to give him classes via WhatsApp, where she was guiding me on the activities to do with him and encouraged him to do it through dynamics, we were doing them for a couple of months, then she found a job that suited her needs and we could not continue. she had been alone again, and for a mother who has neither pedagogy nor the remotest idea of how to be a teacher was difficult task, come that even continues to be difficult but we have already been adapting.

The new school term arrived in my country and I decided to enroll him in a school, that the classes would continue to be virtual, but at least I would have a schedule that would help me to guide my son in a better way, and in this way we would also create a commitment, and when there are commitments, you have to fulfill them. That's how I went from being a manager of a company to a preschool teacher in less than 4 years. Every day someone asks me a different question, what I do to continue living in this country, and to be able to cover the needs of my son and my parents, and I always answer, Magic, I am a witch for a reason! hahaha.

Yes, #Hive, #Bitcoin and the #blockchain are the magic that help me to be able to cover those 290 minimum wages needed to cover a basic food basket for my family, they are the angels that have helped me during these last years to be able to be at home near my son and be able to educate him at home and not having the need to spend up to 12 hours a day away from home exposing myself to the virus or crime that are just as dangerous, wearing out my life to not make ends meet with money at the end of the month. Currently there are scary numbers of children who are not receiving any kind of education, because their parents do not have enough money to send them to school, nor do they have the free time to educate them at home, so being able to provide the right education to my child for me is a blessing, and it is not just about notebooks, pencils and colors, it is also about values, responsibilities and life skills.

<div class="text-justify">Ser madre soltera en un país tercermundista con una economía en caos es una misión nada fácil de cumplir, vale, creo que no era la mejor manera de comenzar este escrito, pero cuando me preguntan ¿Cómo es el costo de la vida en mi país? Lo primero que se vino a mi mente fue eso. Actualmente mi país Venezuela tiene un IPC que se aproxima mucho al 3000 %, si, así como lo lees al TRES MIL %, para ser exactos, según https://datosmacro.expansion.com/ estamos hablando de 2.665,4 %, y si tomamos como referencia un país como Estados Unidos cuyo IPC es de apenas un 1,7 %, podemos decir que estamos realmente mal. Hablando un poco sobre mi caso personal, soy un ingeniero industrial que hace poco más de 3 años llego al mundo blockchain, sin ningún tipo de conocimiento y con un pequeño hijo que recién había cumplido 1 año. Renuncie a mi antiguo trabajo como Gerente de una empresa de alimentos, en el que se suponía debería ganar un salario que me permitiera sacar adelante a mi pequeño Mathias, algo que no sucedía, y por ello preferí renunciar a ese trabajo pues generaba más dinero resolviendo Captchas en una página que dirigiendo una empresa, así de critica estaba la situación en ese entonces, siendo sincera aun continua estando critica, sin embargo, muchos venezolanos incluyéndome, hemos encontrado la solución a los problemas económicos en el mundo criptográfico. En varias oportunidades algunos amigos me han llamado para ofrecerme buenos empleos, con una remuneración si se quiere decir muy buena, pero que aún no cubren los gastos básicos que puedo tener en casa.

Cuando decidí ser madre soltera, sabia también las responsabilidades que ello traía consigo, así que también decidí que no descansaría hasta poder brindarle a mi hijo lo necesario para cubrir sus necesidades y de ser posible ofrecerle aún más, en este punto me encuentro cubriendo el primer punto y trabajando en lo segundo. No fue fácil en un principio pues cuando quede embarazada me encontraba pasando por el peor momento de mi vida económicamente hablando, me encontraba sin empleo y las cosas en casa de mis padres que era a donde me iría luego de mi separación, no eran las mejores. Luego por complicaciones de la cesárea prácticamente mis padres quedaron en banca rota, así que mi compromiso con ellos era devolverle lo que habían perdido y de ser posible, también darles más, una vida vale todo el dinero del mundo y ellos me la dieron dos veces.

Para mi haber conseguido la maravilla de las redes sociales descentralizadas y llegar a Hive ha sido simplemente una gran bendición, pues me ha permitido poder estar en casa con mi hijo en todo momento, cuando estaba trabajando en mi último empleo, tenía que salir de casa a las 5:00 am para estar a las 8:00 am en la oficina y luego terminaba regresando a casa aproximadamente a las 8:00 pm, y en la gran mayoría de los casos encontraba a mi pequeño ya dormido, y solo me quedaba preguntarle a mi madre como había pasado el día, darme un baño y acostarme a dormir para repetir la rutina al día siguiente. Desde allí comencé a practicar el colecho y hasta la fecha Mathias aún continúa durmiendo conmigo, algo que realmente amo. Luego de unos 4 meses trabajando caí en una fuerte depresión, pues entre pensar que el salario no me alcanzaba para llegar a fin de mes y que me estaba perdiendo lo mejor de mi hijo, mi hermano me dijo que renunciara al empleo que el me apoyaría, y hasta el día de hoy así continúa siendo, aunque ya no monetariamente, lo hace de manera moral que es algo muy grande.

El año pasado antes de que se diera a conocer el Covid-19 y que fuera declarado pandemia y nos mandaran a todos a usar bozales y a estar encerrados en casa cual fieras en un zoológico, había planificado que Mathias comenzara sus estudios en el jardín de infancia o preescolar como aquí le dicen, algo que como ya lo he dicho y muchos imaginaran no fue ni ha sido posible aún. Intente con ayuda de una amiga que es psicopedagogo, darle clases vía WhatsApp, en donde ella me iba guiando sobre las actividades que debía hacer con él y le animaba a hacerla mediante dinámicas, las estuvimos haciendo durante un par de meses, luego ella encontró un empleo que se ajustaba a las necesidades de ella y no pudimos continuar. había quedado sola nuevamente, y para una madre que no tiene ni pedagogía ni la más remota idea de cómo ser maestra era tarea difícil, venga que aun continúa siendo difícil pero ya hemos ido adaptándonos.

Llego el nuevo periodo escolar de mi país y decidí inscribirlo en una escuela, que igual las clases continuarían siendo virtuales, pero al menos tendría un cronograma que me ayudaría a orientar a mi hijo de mejor manera, y de esta forma también crearíamos un compromiso, y cuando hay compromisos, hay que cumplir con ellos. Es así como pase de ser gerente de una empresa a maestra de preescolar en menos de 4 años. Todos los días me pregunta alguien diferente, que hago para aun continuar viviendo en este país, y para poder cubrir las necesidades de mi hijo y mis padres, y siempre les respondo, ¡Magia, por algo soy bruja! jajaja.

Si, #Hive, #Bitcoin y la #blockchain son la magia que me ayudan a poder cubrir esos 290 salarios mínimos necesarios para cubrir una canasta alimentaria básica para mi familia, son ellos los ángeles que me han ayudado durante estos últimos años a poder estar en casa cerca de mi hijo y poder educarlo en casa y no tener la necesidad de pasar hasta 12 horas al día lejos de mi casa exponiéndome al virus o a la delincuencia que son igual de peligrosos, desgastándome la vida para no llegar con dinero al fin de mes. Actualmente hay cifras de miedo, de niños que no están recibiendo ningún tipo de educación, pues sus padres no tienen el dinero suficiente para enviarlos a una escuela, y tampoco disponen del tiempo libre para educarlos en casa, así que poder brindarle la educación correcta a mi hijo para mi es una bendición, y es que no se trata solo de cuadernos, lápices y colores, se trata además de valores, responsabilidades y habilidades para la vida.
