**PLEASE NOTE:** This post is *only* my point of view and is based on **my own experience**. I'm not a data scientist, and I don't have a Ph.D. in Digital Marketing. 

Even if you have a global idea in mind, writing a full article can be frustrating because of the lack of inspiration. Here is a simple structure template that I use and that will help you organize and develop your ideas. 

# Convert every visitors into readers
[According to Nngroup](https://www.nngroup.com/articles/how-long-do-users-stay-on-web-pages/), a reader will spend 10 to 20 seconds to determine if he will read your entire article. 
Creating a clear structure will help your post catch the attention of your audience and will give you more engagement with diagonal readers, that only focus on sub-head, bold text, title, pictures and summary/ conclusion. 


# A template to help you develop your ideas
The basic structure of every post should look like this: 
NOTE: Obviously, this is a global template. Adapt it and mix it.

- **TITLE:** [According to Outbrain](https://www.outbrain.com/help/advertisers/content-length/), your headline should be 60 - 100 characters in length. Just remember that the three first words and the last three words are the most important. I focus on seven words. 

- **IMAGE:** Use canva.com to create a great thumbnail that makes an impact. Make it easy to read with big letters. 

- **INTRO:** It's your elevator speech. You have 10 seconds to convert a visitor into a reader! Create an open question, identify a problem or make it mysterious.

- **SUB-HEAD:** Explain *why* then  *how* and *what*. 
Here is an example: If I write a post about autonomous cars,  I could use the three sub-heads: 
    1. Always dreamed taking a nap in your car? (**Why** autonomous cars are fantastic)
    2. Autonomous vehicles are safer than human drivers. (**How** autonomous cars are better than manual ones)
    3. Self-driving cars are going to replace your old vehicle. (**What** are autonomous cars)


- **CONCLUSION:** Your conclusion is a paragraph to summarize your post. Make it brief and precise, with the pros and the cons. 

# Every general topic should follow logic and straightforward structure. 
Creating content post following a well-made structure will bring you more engagement. It's more comfortable to read and perfectly suitable for "diagonal readers."

### Just remember that a 300 words post with a structure is always better than a 1,500 words articles without a structure.
