If Hive got even a portion of Bitcoin and other coins hype or optimism Hive could see  some run up in price. Without understanding much of the details there seems to be some promise in what people are working on such as VSC, but I'm barely scratching the surface. I have a lot of reading to do to understand it better. 

It seems obvious to me that Bitcoin will continue to perform well in our lifetime likely at continued greater returns than the s&p 500 and if I was to deploy more capital it's difficult to know if I should deviate from Bitcoin or not. 

Hive due to low volume is going to be volatile and we don't know if we will get some run good or if we will fade off into irrelevance. 

Purely with Hive and excluding capital gains taxes for simplicity: 
If Hive got to $3 I'd have a sizeable deposit for a home especially if I move to Ireland outside of big cities. 
If Hive got to $10 I could buy a 2 or 3 bed house in cash in some towns again if I moved back to Ireland. 

I'm optimistic that by the end of 2027 that we could see some price movement like that. 
With taxes accounted for it would still be a meaningful lift towards financial freedom. 

I think HBD is a buy right now and I'll probably put $1,000 into that soon. 
Even if it cost 2% to convert from fiat to from HBD and even if USD moves in the wrong way vs CAD I think if I hold for 1.5 years or more I'll make a good return in CAD.
