# Any emerging GAMEs of 2023?
Me? no... I am not a game πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ but I am a person that has been (many years ago) in the 3rd place of at least one universe of the so much famous #ogame, for a whole entire year!

It was super exhausting... I recall setting the alarm to wake up at night to move my death stars... At the time I didn't even though #blockchain technology was going to exist.

What about OGame you may ask? Well, playing [Terracore](https://www.terracoregame.com/?ref=forykw) is exactly what makes me remember and feel!

I know that every game is different and due to the nature of #blockchain, each developer will have different approaches to its sustainability. Also, this can still change a lot in terms of mechanics and its looks and feel, but when you look back to the last 3 years and see this kind of development evolution, stepping up, game by game, you (that know already the ecosystem) just feel really great...

...and in this case, I actually identify myself a lot with it because it makes me remember good old times when I did really enjoy playing with friends.

I'm reading a lot about Terracore lately, but I'm still not 100% sold, as I've seen many users rising their concern about a possible massive flow of bots into the game... and I hate bots in videogames!

It's a growing concern I agree, but once the NFT system kicks in, I expect things to change. Bots are so good until changes are too complex for an algo to take action. So, I think once the balance between the automatic programing and the "human" intelligence kicks in, the hole game strategy will change.

Either way, still too soon, but for me, the exciting part is being apart of this (and I would recommend to everyone that loves crypto and can be aboard of these, to be). The essentials on being on HIVE is to add value to things, and for that, all of us can do... this is one of the reasons I am arround.

I'm not quite sold on Terracore, especially since they've raised the prices to 20 HIVE. I've already seen several programs showing the best people to attack with the most amount of scrap to steal. Simply put, the game is too easily open to massive bot farm abuse.

Still alpha and lots can change, but those are valid points that balance good experience and attract new users.

The price raise for me is irrelevant because it's a balancing factor for the effort that was already done from the developer's perspective. And either way, 20 HIVE is nothing when compared with other games on HIVE even (because it's a one payment access). And I am not even sure if the developer is going to use part of those funds to further maintain the game's attractiveness (in terms of economy), but I guess that would be a possibility.

#ogame had the kind same of problems too, but the difference was that it was not in a blockchain... you could not see anything. And the developers didn't care much if the game was balanced or not, as long it was profitable. Here on HIVE, the care is totally different and there's tons of input for testers and influence from the community.

Another thing that pissed  me off on ogame was the fact that each universe had a limit... on blockchain, there is no limit... well, not one that we would reach anyway. 😎
