 ## Reto Hispaliterario 5 - Un Tigre de Visita en el Ovni

Oilegor y Sandrex revisan y chequean una serie de controles, botones y perillas de un amplio y sofisticado tablero repleto de instrumentos, pantallas y visores de diferentes tipos y tamaños. Después de varios ajustes, se miran uno al otro, asienten con un indudable gesto afirmativo y presionan un gran botón de color rosa. Las diferentes pantallas comienzan a mover líneas de diversos gráficos, mientras las agujas y visores de otros aparatos muestran diferentes lecturas. Transcurridos unos breves segundos, se escucha un fuerte ruido como el zumbido de una veloz bala y en un recinto muy iluminado y de gran amplitud, ubicado al lado derecho de la sala de controles, de la nada, aparece un enorme camión amarillo, cubierto de muchas luces de colores.

Sorprendidos, los dos seres alienígenas que ocupan sus posiciones en el interior de una moderna y extraña nave espacial, ubicada en una órbita baja del planeta tierra y ocultos a la vista de cualquier curioso espectador, se miran de nuevo y Oilegor exclama:

— ¡Fallamos de nuevo! ¡Regrésalo!

Inmediatamente, su compañero procede a pulsar un pequeño botón azul y con un nuevo pitido, acompañado de una ráfaga de viento, así como apareció el camión, desaparece del recinto destinado a recibir los especímenes que recolectan en La Tierra, a través de su potente y muy adelantado rayo abductor.

—¿Qué estamos haciendo mal?— se pregunta Sandrex, observando con atención las lecturas y mediciones de los controles. Su compañero toma de un pequeño estante, un objeto parecido a un gran libro, desplaza sus enormes y largos dedos por lo que parece ser una pantalla y mira con atención la serie de caracteres y figuras que van apareciendo. Después de un rato de observar el extraño objeto, le dice a su amigo:

— Aquí dice que debemos ajustar las medidas de lo que queremos recolectar, según su color, tamaño y densidad, e indicando otros atributos para que el rayo se adapte y pueda apuntar correctamente, ¿estás seguro de lo que colocaste? — pregunta a su amigo, que lo observa detenidamente.

— Yo no quería venir a esta misión,— responde Sandrex con un tono de frustración— aún no estamos lo suficientemente preparados para adentrarnos a explorar este planeta tan extraño,— continúa mientras revisa los parámetros que coloco en los controles.— Aquí están: amarillo, grande, ligeramente denso y con algunos tonos negros para evitar recoger uno verde,— mostrando lo que parece ser un plátano maduro en una pequeña pantalla verdosa.

Oilegor observa con detenimiento la figura en la pantalla, esboza una ligera sonrisa y le dice a su amigo:

— Eso no se parece en nada a lo que llego. Quizás debemos indicar más atributos para que el rayo sea más preciso— comenta Oilegor revisando de nuevo su enorme libro extraterrestre.

— Si pudiéramos hacer que el rayo simplemente busque lo que muestra la imagen, seria más fácil— suspira Sandrex.

— Pero así no funciona este rayo, no sé cuando piensan mejorar este aparato— contesta su amigo algo contrariado— Vamos a colocar que sea entre amarillo y anaranjado, que también tenga algo de marrón y negro— continúa mientras ajusta unas perillas.

— También que sea diez veces más pequeño— afirma Sandrex.

— Correcto, y que no sea tan denso, más bien fluido y ágil. Además, para definir los colores, voy a colocar que sea de rayas y además le agregaré que también tenga blanco— le secunda su amigo mientras ambos pulsan y ajustan diferentes controles.

— ¿Y si le colocamos que tenga patas? Porque lo de la imagen parece que le faltan y no creo que se pueda sostener— interroga Sandrex.

— Me parece bien y ademas, vamos a dirigir el rayo hacia la zona boscosa, llena de plantas, me parece un ambiente mas ideal para encontrar esta cosa.

— Buena idea— responde Sandrex y al instante, mueve una gran perilla, lo que hace que la nave se desplace rápidamente hacia la gran zona boscosa que tienen marcada en la figura del planeta en sus pantallas. Después de confirmar las especificaciones en sus aparatos, pulsan el botón rosa y de nuevo, el gran zumbido se repite en el recinto, pero esta vez solo ven aparecer lo que parece humo o neblina. Esperan por un momento a que se disipe el humo y se acercan para ver lo que han logrado capturar con su rayo. De pronto, del denso humo del recinto, salta un inmenso tigre con sus característicos colores de rayas y comienza a perseguir a los incautos extraterrestres, para tratar de devorarlos sin remordimiento.

Desde entonces, la moderna y extraña nave espacial de Oilegor y Sandrex, vaga por los cielos del planeta Tierra y aún no se sabe si los mismos fueron devorados por el tigre o aun continúan huyendo del hambriento animal.

## Hispaliterary Challenge 5 - A Visiting Tiger in the UFO

Oilegor and Sandrex review and check a series of controls, buttons, and knobs on a large, sophisticated dashboard full of instruments, displays, and screens of different types and sizes. After several adjustments, they look at each other, nod with an undoubtedly affirmative gesture and press a large pink button. The different displays begin to move lines of various graphics, while the needles and displays of other devices show different readings. After a few brief seconds, a loud noise like the whizzing of a speeding bullet is heard and a huge yellow truck, covered with many-colored lights, appears out of nowhere in a brightly lit and spacious room on the right side of the control room.

Surprised, the two alien beings occupying their positions inside a modern and strange spaceship, located in a low orbit of planet earth and hidden from the view of any curious spectator, look at each other again and Oilegor exclaims:

— We failed again! Bring him back!

Immediately, his companion proceeds to press a small blue button and with a new beep, accompanied by a gust of wind, just as the truck appeared, it disappears from the enclosure destined to receive the specimens they collect on Earth, through its powerful and very advanced abductor beam.

— What are we doing wrong,— asks Sandrex, looking carefully at the readings and measurements on the controls. His companion takes from a small shelf, an object resembling a large book, moves his huge, long fingers across what appears to be a screen, and looks carefully at the series of characters and figures that are appearing. After a while of observing the strange object, he says to his friend:

— Here it says that we must adjust the measures of what we want to collect, according to its color, size, and density, and indicate other attributes so that the beam adapts and can aim correctly, are you sure of what you put? — he asks his friend who observes him carefully.

— I didn't want to come on this mission, — replies Sandrex with a frustrated tone — we are not yet prepared enough to explore this strange planet— he continues while checking the parameters I set on the controls — Here they are: yellow, large, slightly dense and with some black tones to avoid picking a green one— showing what seems to be a ripe banana on a small greenish screen.

Oilegor takes a close look at the figure on the screen, gives a slight smile, and says to his friend:

— That doesn't look anything like when I arrive. Perhaps we should indicate more attributes to make the beam more accurate,— Oilegor comments, looking again at his huge alien book.

— If we could make the beam simply look for what the image shows, it would be easier,— sighs Sandrex.

— But that's not the way this beam works, I don't know when they plan to improve this device,— answers his friend, somewhat disgruntled,— Let's make it somewhere between yellow and orange, and also have some brown and black,— he continues while adjusting some knobs.

— Let's also make it ten times smaller,— says Sandrex.

— Right, and not so dense, but rather fluid and agile. In addition, to define the colors, I'm going to make it striped and I'll also add white,— his friend seconds while they both click and adjust different controls.

— And should it be fitted with legs? Because the one in the image seems to be missing and I don't think it can stand up,— asks Sandrex.

— It seems fine to me and besides we are going to direct the beam towards the wooded area, full of plants, it seems to be a more ideal environment to find this thing.

— Good idea,— replies Sandrex, and instantly, he moves a large knob, which makes the ship move quickly towards the large wooded area that they have marked in the figure of a planet on their screens. After confirming the specs on their devices, they press the pink button, and again the large hum repeats in the enclosure, but this time they only see what looks like smoke or haze appear. They wait for a moment for the smoke to dissipate and move closer to see what they have managed to capture with their beam. Suddenly, out of the dense smoke of the enclosure, a huge tiger jumps out with its characteristic striped colors and begins to chase the unsuspecting aliens, trying to devour them without remorse.

Since then, the modern and strange spaceship of Oilegor and Sandrex, wanders through the skies of planet Earth and it is still not known if they were devoured by the tiger or if they are still fleeing from the hungry animal.
