Pero es que yo creía que él en verdad me quería, quizás sea una romántica empedernida y quería ver romance en donde solo había un barril de hiel pero, ya saben amigos el corazón es un condenado a sufrir en cadena perpetua y sin posibilidad a libertad condicional.

That gesture gives me hope, maybe my heart was broken at that moment but no one was going to ruin my fullness and even less now that I was living this experience of working with children as I had always wanted.

Él ha comenzado a llorar ayer y se ha disculpado, pero una disculpa no me recompone el corazón ni lo reconstruye. Mi mamá decía que la confianza era como una muñeca de porcelana, si la dejas caer se romperá en varias partes y si intentas repararla es probable que lo logres pero no volverá a lucir igual. 


Lo peor es que ni se lo que siento; lo que siento es como cuando sufres un trauma y quedas en estado de shock. Yo misma había jurado que esto  probablemente nunca me sucediera, porque tenía a un hombre tranquilo a mi lado. Es obvio que he sido una idiota idealista, como si la personalidad influyera en el hecho de que quizás estoy saliendo con un hombre que no sabe lo que quiere. 


Cuando terminó mi diálogo interior, un niño se me acerca y me da un dibujo hecho con trocitos de papel de colores pegados cuidadosamente en la figura de un corazón. Aquel gesto me da una esperanza, quizás mi corazón estaba roto en aquel momento pero nadie iba a arruinar mi plenitud y menos ahora que estaba viviendo está experiencia de trabajar con niños como siempre había querido.

Who am I to forgive? The only forgiveness I know is God's, turning the page would be a good start but, am I really willing to continue under the shadow of doubt or to stay alone enjoying how wonderful it feels to live with your own self?


The truth is that even though I am sad and disappointed there is nothing that self-love cannot heal and perhaps, I will decide for me the best choice for my future.
