<P><div class="text-justify">I admit that the title is quite challenging but at the same time I am convinced that I am not exaggerating in any way. In fact, quite the contrary. I consider that to enter the "Olympus" of music produced in the last 60/70 years, you have to be more than an icon, someone really talented and with skills too hard to beat. And under the circumstances I have previously described, I don't see how Madonna could not belong to that select but immortal club of unrepeatable and incomparable people.</div></P> 

<P><div class="text-justify">We are talking about a woman who has tired of breaking all the sales records she has found in her path, throughout her, no more and no less, 39 years of artistic life! Yes, we are talking about a woman who is 63 years old today, but who, at that age, has dedicated herself to the world of performing arts, music, production, fashion, and even as a businesswoman for more than two thirds of her entire life. We are undoubtedly talking about an artist in every sense of the word. An unquestionable one, and one that we know, below (quite well, moreover).</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">Admito que el título es bastante desafiante pero al mismo tiempo estoy convencido de que no exagero de ninguna manera. De hecho, todo lo contrario. Considero que para entrar en el "Olimpo" de la música producida en los últimos 60/70 años, debes ser más que un ícono, alguien realmente talentoso y con habilidades demasiado difíciles de superar. Y bajo esas circunstancias que he descrito previamente, no veo cómo Madonna no pudiera pertenecer a ese selecto pero inmortal club de personas irrepetibles e inigualables.</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">Estamos hablando de una mujer que se ha cansado de romper todos los récords de venta que se haya encontrado a su paso, a lo largo de sus, nada más y nada menos, que ¡39 años de vida artística! Sí, estamos hablando de una mujer, que hoy tiene 63 años, pero que de ésa edad, se ha dedicado al mundo de las artes escénicas, musicales, de producción, moda, y hasta como empresaria; en más de dos tercios de la totalidad de su vida. Estamos hablando, sin lugar a dudas, de una artista en todo el sentido de la palabra. Una incuestionable y que conocemos, a continuación (bastante bien, además).</div></P>

<P><div class="text-justify">And think about it, who has inspired millions of girls, boys, young people, across generations as successfully as Madonna has? And she's the perfect role model for young girls, if you ask me. An independent, free woman who enjoys her sexuality responsibly. A completely famous businesswoman who makes her companies millions. All, not to mention a record I just saw, while I was looking for material for this post. Did you know that "The Material Girl" holds the Guinness World Record for "Most Successful Solo Artist in History"? For those of you who are wondering: 300 million productions sold. Again: 300 million.</div></P>  

<P><div class="text-justify">I'm going on, because honestly for me this is a pleasure: writing a post about one of the women I have most admired in my life. We have all seen how Pop music has taken over the market. In fact, it has never ceased to exist. It has always been a constant that has been reinventing and perfecting itself. An industry within the broad genre of music that continues to grow decade by decade, year by year, month by month. But all the concepts that are used, or almost all of them; Madonna, although she didn't invent them, popularised them.</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">Y es que, piénsenlo, ¿quién ha inspirado a millones de niñas, niños, jóvenes, a través de generaciones con tanto éxito como lo ha hecho Madonna? Además, es el ejemplo perfecto para las niñas, si me preguntan. Una mujer independiente, libre, que disfruta responsablemente de su sexualidad. Una empresaria completamente famosa y que hace que sus empresas sean millonarias. Todo, sin contar con un récord que recién vi, mientras estaba en busca de material para este post ¿Sabían que "La chica material" posee el récord Guinness de "La artista solista más exitosa de la historia"? Para quienes se lo pregunten: 300 millones de producciones vendidas. De nuevo: trescientos millones.</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">Continúo, porque sinceramente para mí esto es un placer: redactar un post sobre una de las mujeres que más he admirado en mi vida. Todos hemos visto cómo la música Pop se ha apoderado del mercado. Es más, jamás ha dejado de existir. Siempre ha sido una constante que ha ido reinventándose y perfeccionándose. Una industria dentro del amplio género musical que no para de crecer década a década, año tras año, mes a mes. Pero todos los conceptos que se emplean, o casi todo; Madonna, aunque no los inventó los popularizó.</div></P>

<P><div class="text-justify">Remember the Queen of Pop's "Vogue" video? That couture catwalk vibe, elitist elegance and sophistication, has a before and after. And it's thanks to the girl born in Bay City, Michigan. And the list goes on, the reception that artists from the 2000's onwards like Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Taylor Swift, have within the LGBTQ community? Again, maybe Madonna didn't invent it but everything, absolutely everything, in terms of Pop has been done before by the "Evita" singer. Accuse her of anything you want, but never someone without vision or commitment.</div></P> 

<P><div class="text-justify">Not long ago I was listening to some girls commenting that Adele is the best representative of current Pop music. And, although they are partially right (Adele is a monster of an artist - fascinating, I don't doubt it), there is simply no comparison when it comes to Madonna. The author of "Like A Virgin" at a time of widespread ignorance about HIV, defied the powers that be to advocate for help for people living with the disease. Don't forget that we are talking about the 1980s. Long before Princess Diana of Wales, and long before...</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">¿Se recuerdan del vídeo llamado "Vogue" de la Reina del Pop? Ese ambiente de pasarela de alta costura, elegancia elitista y sofisticación, tiene un antes y un después. Y es gracias a la chica nacida en Bay City, Michigan. Y la lista continúa, ¿la acogida que tienen artistas de los 2000's para acá como Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Taylor Swift, dentro de la comunidad LGBTQ? De nuevo, quizá Madonna no lo inventó pero todo, absolutamente todo, en cuanto al Pop ya lo hice antes la intérprete de "Evita". Acúsala de lo que desees, pero jamás de alguien sin visión o compromiso.</div></P> 

><P><div class="text-justify">Hace no mucho escuchaba a unas chicas comentando que Adele, es la mejor representante de la música Pop actual. Y, aunque tienen parcialmente la razón (Adele, es una monstruosidad de artistas. Fascinante, no lo pongo en duda) sencillamente, en cuanto a Madonna no hay comparación. La autora de "Like A Virgin" en plena época de amplio desconocimiento sobre el VIH, desafiaba a los poderes establecidos para abogar por ayuda hacia las personas que padecían esta enfermedad. No se olviden que estamos hablando de la década de los 80's. Mucho antes que la Princesa Diana de Gales, además...</div></P>

<P><div class="text-justify">A strong advocate for women's rights, for gender equality in every sense of the word and for economic, financial, intellectual and sexual freedom. As well as a defender of animal rights and, as if that were not enough, a person who has never remained silent in the face of the innumerable injustices that may arise.  For reasons beyond the spirit of this post, I will not detail or name them, but I am sure that you, as followers of world events, will know what I am talking about.</div></P> 

<P><div class="text-justify">On the other hand, do you know ABBA? That famous and very good Swedish dance, disco and pop group from the 60's/70's? Well, Madonna improved a song of theirs. In fact, to be more precise and fair, in the song called "Hung Up" there is a melody that accompanies the unmistakable "beat" of that song, which is not typical of the golden girl. It was the good guys of ABBA, who, under their own authorisation, gave their approval (Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, is the name of the original ABBA song) admitting that they admired Madonna, and that they approved of her use of that rhythmic piece of the original song.</div></P> 

<P><div class="text-justify">In other words, only Madonna can improve what is already a huge Pop and disco classic into a new Pop and disco anthem. Honestly, for those who haven't (yet) had the chance to listen to the song ("Hung Up"), I'll wink at you, by leaving inside the post the video of the Queen of Pop in one of her best and most mature versions of dance music, fun, inclusive and above all, with that mischievousness that only the golden girl possesses. I have absolutely nothing against the new artists that have existed and will surely continue to exist throughout the history of music; on the contrary, I consider that as with Michael Jackson, Iron Maiden, The Beatles, Chuck Schuldiner, and Madonna, there are artists that you will never, ever have a "replacement".</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">Firme defensora de los derechos de la mujer, de la igualdad de género en todos los sentidos y de la libertad tanto económica, financiera, intelectual y sexual. Así como, una defensora de los derechos de los animales y por si fuera poco, una persona que jamás ha permanecido callada ante las innumerables injusticias que se puedan presentar.  Mismas, que por razones ajenas al espíritu de este post, no detallaré ni nombraré, pero que estoy seguro que ustedes como seguidores de los sucesos del mundo sabrán de lo que hablo.</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">Por otro lado, ¿conocen ABBA? Aquel famoso y muy buen grupo sueco de música dance, disco y Pop de los 60/70's? Bueno, Madonna mejoró una canción de ellos. De hecho, para ser más precisos y justos, en el tema que tiene por nombre "Hung Up" hay una melodía que acompaña el "beat" inconfundible de ese tema, que no es propio de la chica de oro. Sino, de los buenazos de ABBA, que bajo propia autorización dieron el visto bueno (Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, es el nombre de la canción original de ABBA) admitiendo que admiraban a Madonna, y que aprobaban que usara ese pedazo tan rítmico de la canción original.</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">Dicho de otro modo, solo Madonna puede mejorar lo que es ya un enorme clásico del Pop y la música disco, hasta convertirla en un nuevo himno de este género de la música. Honestamente, a quienes (aún) no hayan tenido la oportunidad de escuchar el tema ("Hung Up"), les guiñaré el ojo, al dejarles dentro del post el vídeo de la Reina del Pop en una de sus mejores y más maduras versiones de música bailable, divertida, inclusiva y sobre todo, con esa picardía que solo la chica de oro posee. 
No tengo absolutamente nada en contra de las nuevas artistas que han existido y seguramente seguirán existiendo a lo largo de la historia de la música; al contrario, considero que al igual que con Michael Jackson, Iron Maiden, The Beatles, Chuck Schuldiner, y Madonna, hay artistas que jamás, nunca tendrás un "reemplazo".</div></P>

<P><div class="text-justify">Therefore, something that cannot be replaced cannot be compared. Nor, evidently, surpassed. The musical legacy of "Little Nonni" (as she was nicknamed at home) is incalculable. Let's remember, she is 63 years old, and adjectives are not enough to describe her greatness, her beauty, her splendour as an artist. A genius that I, who was born in the 90's, have the humility to admit and admire. Before her, nothing but praise and amazement.</div></P>

<P><div class="text-justify">To conclude, do you know what it takes, as a woman and an artist, knowing the complications that exist in the world we live in for Madonna to be considered by Billboard Magazine as the 2nd most important and transcendent artist in their famous "Hot 100 All-Time Top Artists''? Being number 1, other musical geniuses, The Beatles. They have no idea how hard it is to be at the top, as the AC DC song "Long Way to The Top" goes, and the "Material Girl", the "Queen of Pop", the timeless Madonna, has never come down from the pedestal she put herself on. C'est La Vie, mon amis!</div></P>

El legado musical de la "Little Nonni" (así se apodaban en el hogar materno) es incalculable. Recordemos, tiene 63 años, y los adjetivos no alcanzan para describir su grandeza, su belleza, su esplendor como artista. Un genio, que yo, que nací en los 90's tengo la humildad de admitir y admirar. Ante ella, nada más que elogios y asombro.</div></P>

><P><div class="text-justify">Para culminar, ¿saben lo que se necesita, como mujer y artista, a sabiendas de las complicaciones existentes en el mundo en que vivimos para que Madonna sea considerada por la Revista Billboard como la 2da artista más importante y trascendente de su famoso "Hot 100 All-Time Top Artists''? Siendo el número 1, otros genios de la música, The Beatles. No tienen idea de lo difícil que es estar en la cima, así como dice la canción de AC DC, "Long Way to The Top", y la "Material Girl", la "Reina del Pop", la atemporal Madonna, jamás se ha bajado del pedestal en donde ella misma se subió. C'est La Vie, mon amis!</div></P>
