**I started playing Splinterlands in 2018 and I started my card collection with the BETA edition. Many things have happened since those days and unfortunately the BETA edition is very forgotten nowadays, while every time they release new editions that displace them more, but you can still do many things and above all, strategies using these cards, which if you manage to make the right combinations, also making a good use of the Battle Rules and the abilities of other cards, can become the difference between winning or losing a game.  That's why the best battles of the day are dedicated to one of my oldest cards, a card from the DEATH deck, one of my favorites and with one of my favorite abilities: Poison. That card is Haunted Spider.**

**In this first battle I used mostly magic attack cards, the only exception being the card in first position, which is a Melee card and Haunted Spider, which is a Rank Attack card. In first position I put a card that little by little I have been using more and more in my formations with the Death deck: Cursed Windeku is an excellent Melee card which has a huge amount of life points, with that amount of life points (10) is a card that is able to resist a lot of damage, but also has an excellent defensive ability which is "Thorns", so it is a highly defensive card. Its attack and speed points are good (3 points in each stats). In the next four positions I placed Magic Attack cards, which have abilities that are quite annoying for my opponent. In second position I placed: Undead Priest, a card that has the abilities "Slow" and "Weaken", being these two excellent abilities to weaken my opponent.**



**In third position I placed another of my favorite cards of the DEATH deck: Revealer, whose ability "Stun" has saved me from losing many battles. In the next two positions I placed two cards that besides being the last Magic Attack cards in this formation, are also two cards with the "Life Leech" ability, a very useful ability and an ability that often also helps you win battles, but in addition, the card in 4th position, in addition to "Life Leech" also has the "Poison" ability.  While Life Sapper, which is in the second to last position, only has the "Life Leech" ability. And in last position I place the main card of today: Haunted Spider, an excellent Rank Attack card, which despite its age is one that is very useful today in a game where there is a lot of imbalance.**

**In this second battle the formation is mostly made up of very old cards, being several of them from the BETA edition and only one card being from a more current era, exactly from the Chaos Legion edition. In first position I put one of the most solid and complete Melee cards of some years ago, a card that today is extremely useful due to its excellent stats, which is made up of an excellent amount of shield and life level and its attack level is very powerful, with 5 attack points this card is very powerful and lethal, it also has skills like "Stun" and "Piercing", which for a card of this style is very useful. My card formation in this battle is very different from the first battle, since in this particular battle it is made up of three Melee type cards and three Rank Attack type cards, that is, half and half.** 


**So the next two cards, occupying the second and third place respectively, I placed two cards with one of my favorite abilities: "Sneak", being one of those cards the old Skeleton Assassin and the next card is Silent Sha-Vi, two very effective cards in this battle. Therefore the three remaining cards in the formation are conformed by being of the Rank Attack type, having the ability "Snipe" the following two cards: Centaur and Twisted Jester, two very old cards, but excellent in battle. These cards have also benefited from the "Equalizer" Battle Rule, which boosts their life points, since in normal terms, they are cards with low life. And in last position and repeating its place with respect to the first battle, place again the main card of today: Haunted Spider.**
