1916 and **Albert Einstein** made the theoretical discovery of gravitational waves, through his Theory of Relativity, I assure that the most violent bodies in the cosmos will be in charge of releasing a part of its mass in the form of energy through these waves .

## But what are the gravitational waves ?

The gravitational waves are vibrations that are able to form a curvature in the space-time causing them to be dispersed in the form of waves from its origin.
As I said earlier these theoretically deform space and time, traveling at the speed of light, are capable of altering the distances between planets.

Events like supernovas are able to form these **gravitational waves**, which have energy equivalent to billions of atomic bombs, but these waves lose force making that many times can not be detected by the radars.

Scientists use detection devices called **interferometers**, which help to catch waves that come with very little force.

The **gravitational waves** help the description and explanation of several of the laws of physics, since with them it is possible to obtain some information of the origin of the universe.
