Skiing in Oslo you're mostly going through the neverending forests surrounding the great city. While charming in its own way with its nice scenery and sense of calm, it's still not quite the same as skiing in the mountains. That's why I enjoy the time I get to spend at our family cabin so much, like this trip to one of the peaks nearby.  <center><sup>Picture I took on our way up to "Grubbå", a mountai npeak 1200 meters above sea level in Sirdal, Norway.</sup></center> The Norwegian mountains are very different from the Alps. While the mountains in the Alps can be incredibly steep and almost appear like spikes, the mountains in Norway are not as tall and appears more like white sand dunes. And although the Alpine mountains are beautiful in the way in which you can see different seasons along the mountain-side, Norway offers amazing views and the feeling of skiing on top of the clouds. It's funny, going up the mountainside I looked forward to taking some pictures and videos for Instagram with the Tag showing the altitude. However, only today when I've uploaded the pictures to my PC did I realize that my favorite, by far, was this picture that I took while we were still half an hour from the top.  <center><sup>Same view, just in a more mobile friendly size.</sup></center> I guess great pictures are those that happen "in the moment" when you suddenly realize what an epic view you've got.
