Twist and turn it however you like, it's been a rough few days for anyone in crypto who may have gotten used to seeing their old portfolio values in November/December.

And while I don't think there's anything to worry about for those who are here for the long term, there'll still be quite a few people who got seriously wrecked these past days. Closing your eyes, you can hear the sound of the gambling addict who's been leverage trading Bitcoin trembling, wondering if he and his wife will still have their pensions savings next week. Joined by the equal trembling of the nerd who is wondering if he'll still have his girlfriend next week.

Hopefully, you'll instead find yourself in a position like myself where this is primarily an opportunity to make some good moves and otherwise just another day in crypto. After all, as I explained in a recent post [Why Hive is the best place to be in a bear market](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@fredrikaa/why-hive-is-the-best-place-to-be-in-a-bear-market), focusing on side hustles and having fun is more likely to net good financial results when the markets are harsh.

And there are plenty of people out there who sees the opportunity to do just that! Twitter is lit with jokes and people going out of their way to overshadow their coping with good memes and jokes. So I thought it would make sense to see what we've got up our own meme-sleeves for the occasion!

Having been buying quite a few hundred BTC with his country's money, all eyes were on El Salvador's president Nayib Bukele to make a comment on the steep fall. Few, I would imagine, would have expected to see a country's president do a tweet like this. But I guess that's what Bitcoin does to people.

And it quickly became a hot trend. So much so that just before I was about to publish this article, Mc Donald's themselves were out Tweeting to the crypto-masses:
