Hey everyone! I am pretty sure that I have posted about this sort of thing before, but I wanted to continue to talk about updates to my ears. I used to have my ears stretched to a double zero. A 00g or 10mm. I took them out some time ago, and I occasionally gauge up and back down pretty quickly.

With everything that is going on in our world, and all of the chaos of getting things ready to hit the road, I thought I would also stretch my ears a bit. I'm not sure if it is some sort of control, maybe I feel like it is something that I can control? haha maybe. Either way, I love it.

I'm not into anything flashy. Actually, I would prefer to not actually be able to see the jewelry that I wear. I like the clear retainers. I'm a big fan of just seeing flesh colored holes without seeing the plug. I recently purchased a few, but they are still not as thin as I would like, but they are a step in the right direction.

I was able to find an amazing deal on soft silicone retainers, also called eyelets, and I bought two and got a third pair for free. I order one pair of clear zero gauge (8 mm), and two pairs of double zero (10mm) clear and white.

So I experienced something new this time. I have tried stretching in a couple of different ways. I have tried it with tapers, and I have also done it with weights. I had an idea though....what if I could just get the soft retainer through the whole and let it naturally expand my ear until it is comfortable. Seems great right?

So I went from a 2 gauge to a 0 gauge. The jump feels pretty big. I was able to get the first one in no problem...and then...pop...I heard it come back from being folded and become fully round again haha It instantly started to stretch my ear from the inside out. It was a weird feeling, but it may be the most amazing way that I have ever done. 

I have had the zeros in now for a couple of days with no issues. They went in, did the stretching, and now they feel normal and natural. It was definitely a weird experience, but it was amazing. I think I will keep these in for a while and then do a combination of weights and this method to get the double zero in. Once I am there I will stop. I have no need or desire to stretch any more. So once I get there I will start hunting for those ideal eyelets, the kind I can't see.
