One Yeti's Perspective #290: Smart Enough To Live Consciously

Living consciously is an everyday decision. As we learn new information we trying to apply it to each situation. Not just with food, but that seems to be very important in today's world.

After talking with my fancy sister the doctor, alot of my information is affirmed, and then I share with others. She and I have an idea we share called "kicking the rock". When we know a decision is bad for us but we do it anyway.

Like taking our shoe off and kicking a rock and knowing it will break our toe, but we continue to do it. We have to be smart enough to be able to apply what we know to be "right", and not kick the rock.

I have kind of experienced this over the last decade but I think it was due to my pursuit of happiness and valuing happiness and pleasure more than the prevention, reduction and elimination of suffering.

Hopefully my recent insight will give me great results @freedompoint.

If this had anything to do with you leaving the corporate world, it might make a good video.

A lot of people are so focused on creating happiness for themselves and others that they don't realize how much suffering they are inflicting on themselves and others.

I am personally just now starting to change now.

I challenge you to a year after this year.  I realize my challenge doesnt hold nearly the weight  your amazing wife's does, haha.  As you know I am not a religious man, but, I find your talks satisfy that spiritual necessity to be around like minded people of "faith"for me.  #kicktherock  I like it! Haha I am glad you are enjoying my perspectives. Life is good and God is great!

I am glad I can tickle the spiritual bone a bit. My everyday is about it. I wake up praying and live it. I feel that our connection to God and the universe is more important than eveything else. We have created the world we share, so now we choose to participate or not. I choose not asbmuch as possible.
