My family rested in Italy September this year.
We had celebrated of 30 years our marriage.
I want  to share my impressions about our first experience of overcoming fear of height  overcoming myself.
Dolomites are mountains placed on North of Italy and included in UNESCO world heritage.

My family went to conquer these mountains.
If I knew that we would have to fight for our lives, I would never go.
It was a terrible trek.
Our son learned all  the routes to climb the mountains.
The Dolomites mountains are 2800 meters high in this part. He chose the most difficult way.

The beginning of the road we passed on the funicular.
It was the easiest and funny stage.

We climbed higher and higher step by step.

I did not look up or down.
The road disappeared at some points and we focused only on the marks on  stones.
My men ( husband and son ) held my hand tight.

Besides it began raining when we were  just about the top.
On the top of the mountain I was joking that all difficulties were over.

All dangerous things were just beginning: the rain intensified and turn into shower of hail.

According to the road we had to go on the reverse side of the mountain.
It was about 2 km . The way down was through the rise .
The breath was steaming . We all very frozen.
The road was already difficult, but now turned into impossible one.
It was not funny.
I prayed aloud.
My husband held me firmly by the wrist that it could  not slip.
My son asked forgive him for such a hard test.
It was important to stay alive now.
So we walked about near  a kilometer .
Slippery and sharp rocks wet earth made our movement forward very difficult.

We found the pointer “Vertical kilometer” .
When we went down 1/3 of the way.

Our car was still a lot of kilometers away.

But we were too happy , because nothing threatened with us.
Now we could walk as on this day the pedometer showed 20 km .
And second important thing this proved that we are a friendly family.
