**Happy beginning of the week to all the readers of the Hive Book Club community!** Today I will share a wonderful book entitled **A Future for Youth** by the French philosopher and pedagogue *Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov*. I have had the book for about a year now, I remember that reading it made me reflect on how important it is to take advantage of time to do productive things and choose the path of good, learn to be patient, overcome sadness and fight in our stage of youth. Today, I can call it a self-help book since in its pages you will find the way to overcome simple and complex situations in life.

> **¡Feliz inicio de semana a todos los lectores de la comunidad de Hive Book Club!** Hoy daré a conocer un estupendo libro titulado **Un futuro para la juventud** del filósofo y pedagogo francés *Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov*. El libro lo he tenido desde hace un año aproximadamente, recuerdo que la lectura del mismo, me hizo reflexionar de cuan importante es aprovechar el tiempo en hacer cosas productivas y elegir el camino del bien, aprender a ser paciente, vencer la tristeza y luchar en nuestra etapa de la juventud. Hoy día, puedo denominarlo un libro de autoayuda puesto que en sus páginas encontrarás la manera de sobrellevar situaciones simples y complejas de la vida.

Therefore, to begin with, I would like to share an enriching thought of the author of the book, which expresses the following *"Youth is full of life, freshness, impulses and magnificent aspirations. The important thing is to know how to adequately channel that extraordinary effervescence of energies that overflows in it"* Thus, **Let's talk about the book!**

**A Future for the Youth** is a book that was published in September 2005 and written by the master Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov. Now, it consists of twenty chapters, so I will give a summary of some of them, so you can have an idea of what it is about. This book is really special and unique in that it covers so many aspects of our life. So, I invite you to continue reading.

> **Un futuro para la juventud** es un libro que fue publicado en el mes de Septiembre del año 2005 y escrito como bien fue mencionado con anterioridad por el maestro Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov. Ahora bien, la misma consta de veinte capítulos, por lo que, daré un resumen de algunos de ellos, para que puedan tener una idea de qué trata. Realmente, este libro es especial y único al abarcar tantos aspectos de nuestra vida. Así que, los invito a que continúen leyendo.

One of the chapters that most caught my attention was the first one entitled **Youth a land in formation**: The author begins by expressing the value of youth, beings full of life, freshness, impulses and dreams. From this first part, one of the things I loved the most was when Aïvanhov relates youth to the period of the formation of the earth. In it, he describes that millions of years ago the earth was not yet organized, there were only volcanic eruptions and melting materials, therefore, it was essential that every force and movement calmed down so that the earth could become a habitable place.

>Uno de los capítulos que más llamó mi atención fue el primero que se titula **La juventud una tierra en formación**: El autor inicia expresando el valor de la juventud, seres llenos de vida, de frescor, impulsos y sueños. De esta primera parte, una de las cosas que más me encantó fue cuando Aïvanhov relaciona la juventud con el periodo de formación de la tierra. En donde, describe que hace millones de año la tierra todavía no se encontraba organizada, solo había erupciones volcánicas y materiales en fusión, por ello, fue indispensable que cada fuerza y movimiento se calmaran para que así la tierra se convirtiera en un lugar habitable.

In this way, the youth, living in that primitive state of the earth, when these energies are not dominated and controlled, they generate all kinds of disorderly manifestations such as attractions, repulsions, rebellion. Therefore, it is necessary for the youth to acquire some control and harmony so that they can have a healthy life with all their environment.

>De esta manera, la juventud, vive en ese estado primitivo de la tierra, al no encontrarse esas energías dominadas y controladas generan todo tipo de manifestaciones desordenadas como las atracciones, repulsiones, rebeldía. Por ello, es necesario entonces, que la juventud adquiera un poco de control, armonía para que puedan tener una vida sana con todo su entorno.

The second chapter that I liked is entitled **The voice of the higher nature** (part four of the book) it tells us about two voices of nature; the lower and the higher, an example that we know when they say that, in general, you are accompanied by a luminous entity and a dark one, the first being the angel who helps to enlighten us with his advice to keep us on the right path and the second would be the demon who will try to drag our lives through tortuous paths. However, the philosopher mentions that in reality these things do not exist. Since everything is in us, each one of us is responsible for the path or direction we want to choose.

>El segundo capítulo que me gustó se titula **La voz de la naturaleza superior** (parte cuatro del libro) esta nos habla de dos voces de la naturaleza; la inferior y la superior, un ejemplo que conocemos en cuando dicen, que por lo general, te acompaña una entidad luminosa y otra tenebrosa, siendo la primera el ángel quien ayuda a iluminarnos con sus consejos para mantenernos en el buen camino y la segunda vendría siendo el demonio que tratará de arrastrar nuestras vidas por caminos tortuosos. Sin embargo, el filósofo menciona que en realidad esas cosas no existen. Ya que todo está en nosotros, cada quien es responsable del camino o dirección que desea elegir.

Likewise, the third and last chapter that caught my attention was number nine which is entitled **Recognizing the aspirations of the soul and spirit**, in this part the main point is *the complaint of what we lack*. Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov transports us to imagine situations in life that many of us have gone through and thought about, including many of us who have been that person who is not satisfied with what we have and simply go through life complaining about wanting more, about why I don't have one thing or the other.

>Asimismo, el tercer y último capítulo que me llamó la atención fue el número nueve que tiene por título **Reconocer las aspiraciones del alma y del espíritu**, en esta parte el punto principal es *la queja de lo que nos falta*. Y es que, Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov nos transporta a imaginarnos situaciones de la vida de la cuales muchos hemos pasado y pensado, inclusive muchos hemos sido esa persona que no nos conformamos con lo que tenemos y simplemente andamos por la vida quejándonos en querer más, en el por qué no tengo una cosa o lo otro.

The human being, like every living creature has needs to satisfy, but it is true that beyond our needs we must learn to give value to the things we have been blessed with. To give importance to the immaterial (love, to be happy with our relatives...), **let's wake up and try to satisfy our spiritual needs that we need so much Youth!**. Finally, the book will leave you with a great reflection for life, so I invite you to read it, there are many things that I missed to mention, but, I hope you can enjoy the short summary of the book.

> El ser humano, como toda criatura viviente tiene necesidades que satisfacer, pero es cierto que más allá de nuestras necesidades debemos aprender a darle valor a las cosas con las que hemos sido bendecidos. A darle importancia a lo inmaterial (el amor, ser felices con nuestros familiares...), **¡despertemos y tratemos de satisfacer nuestras necesidades espirituales que tanto lo necesitamos Juventud!**. Finalmente, el libro te dejará una gran reflexión para toda la vida, así que te invito a que lo leas, hay muchas cosas que me faltaron por mencionar, pero, espero y puedas disfrutar del corto resumen del libro.
