Be a cool cucumber
Teachers are extremely important people especially in school.

Our mood and emotion can often affect our students and other teachers that we need to work with.

Regardless of situation, we must remain calm and do not get affected.

Even if we are affected emotionally, we put on a good front to calm the situation.

<strong>Unexpected crisis</strong>

I am trained to handle emotionally affected students when they witness death or they experience difficulty in accepting the death of their love ones.

In situation like this, we must not panic but we must handle the situation with our emotions in control.

Imagine we are emotionally affected, the affected students or teachers would be even more affected when we are supposed to calm them to normalcy.

We must always stay cool to handle the situation effectively!

<strong>Handle discipline</strong>

There are many students who may always try to test our limits.

They may even enjoy getting the teachers angry because they know which button to push.

When teachers get angry and start scolding, we are wasting our students’ time because of just one particular student who gets on our nerve.

<img class="alignnone size-medium" src="http://fun2learn.vornix.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/regret-and-busy-300x158.png" width="300" height="158" /><br/>

<a href="https://pixnio.com/people/female-women/portrait-person-face-woman-model-makeup-angry-lady">Image Source</a>

It is not fair to the other kids. We should stay composed and use methods like going near the kid who disturbs or some other ways that we can continue with our lessons.

Can you imagine after scolding, the next moment the scolding starts again?

<img class="alignnone size-medium" src="https://ipfs.busy.org/ipfs/QmfYRJ94uW8LTeAYH1idyvGJYBT4ZN5xrthhcogY8hLN2T" width="267" height="189" /><br/>

<a href="https://pixabay.com/en/speech-man-political-speak-talk-2759550/">Image Source</a>

The whole lesson is a scolding session without educational purpose.

We need to be unpredictable to students who disrupt and still handle them effectively.

Some teachers would keep them back to discuss with them especially just before their playtime as it is the most important time for them.

<strong>Unexpected medical condition</strong>

I had a student who fainted in class this year. Before the class can start to get excited or shocked, I quickly told the class in a firm voice to continue with the work I had given while I attend to the student.

<img class="alignnone size-medium" src="http://fun2learn.vornix.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/first-aid.png" width="275" height="183" /><br/>

<a href="https://pixabay.com/en/first-aid-children-child-bicycle-1882049/">Image Source</a>

Since most teachers are first aid trained, I turned the student into the recovery position and informed another teacher to inform the office.

I handled the whole situation calmly and did not allow students to crowd around as it would not help a single bit.

<a href="https://pixabay.com/en/stop-containing-street-sign-1013732/">Image Source</a>

There were also more serious cases that I had to handle in the past but the key point is to stay calm.

We must be the ones to know what to do and how to do it properly at that exact moment when there is limited time for us to ponder to react.

<strong>In conclusion</strong>

I have only stated a few points of why we should be as cool as a cucumber but I believe you get my point.

I must admit it is easier to say than to do it as our emotions do get affected but we must forcefully control them.

<img class="alignnone size-medium" src="http://fun2learn.vornix.blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/control-300x158.png" width="300" height="158" /><br/>

<a href="https://pixabay.com/en/control-keyboard-email-2633861/">Image Source</a>

We need to look calm even when our hearts are dancing like mad.

We should always be in control to ensure the situation has been handled in the best possible way we can think of.
