I like livinguktaiwan's idea. She is a gud curator. The idea seems to be framed around accountability which is most important to me. I'll get onboard.

However, I think current curation support is sufficient. The main issue is attracting good content creators. Most coming are mediocre and obviously just here to make a few bucks a day. They can be trained, but is this the only thing that should be focused on?

If this is just another scheme to support noobs, it will get tiring quickly cause there is a lot of that already.

How about other types of support asides from throwing upvotes at the problem and hoping to solve it?

I suggest gathering together a list of good guides and tips for anyone to be considered for support. They should study it and perhaps make an application post with their plan and understandong of what is gud and what is not gud before being accepted for help.

We also need to onboard content consumers, but this is hard to think about and off topic.

I’m all too happy to support content creators I just have seen this become a shit show and make creators lazy since they knew they getting upvotes and it had an adverse effect on their efforts over time! Initially yes it did to do well for them but I think we need to add an element of activity and engagement to it 

I think dolphin duties are cool but I think minnows and red fish need to support dolphin initiatives too

Anyone we support should also be submitting a monthly post to @nickyhavey and @plantsandplanks competition @yourtop3 it’s a fun monthly giveaway and it can always use more users 

They need to follow @brittandjosie’s @heyhaveyamet and check it to welcome new users 

I also think we should have something like a weekly post where users can share a post they found and we can all check them out and comment! I just don’t want it only to be an upvote ring but some engagement

Curation trail is of course the easiest to set up, but that alone is the means at the most, and not the long term solution to grow and sustain quality and engagement.

In order to make it effective, it would need to be complemented with other initiatives, maybe like a simplified version of what Sandbx used to do? 

I can only speak from my experiences of 2 and a bit years but I think we need to really define what Hive is all about - is it niche for long form content, blogging and vlogging or is it a place for everyone (short form, selfies, one liners as well)?

When I first joined, I thought it was a place where long form content solely existed, a bit like a monetisable version of your own WordPress site or Medium. But as time has gone on, it's opened the doors to so much more - short form content with loads of comments on is equally as valuable due to the social interaction here.

"Quality Content" doesn't really mean anything because everyone has their own definition of "quality". Some of my shorter posts that I've made have received far more traction and comments than others I've written that were 2k words and beyond that took days to prepare.

Sometimes, it's not always about going out there and "looking for quality content" as a lot of people (like me) just post here for fun and use it like a social media site, sprinkle a few comments around with the added bonus of dishing out some crypto and growing your own account too. I've found this to be the most effective way of growing my account and meeting new people, just by going out there and meeting others because that's how it has to be done. If you just post and don't stick around to engage then you can't expect much...

I'd say joining the engagement league from @abh12345 is a must for interactive purposes and having fun.

I've set up @yourtop3 which is a monthly contest with @foxyspirit, @cheese4ead and @plantstoplanks as a bit of fun open to everyone regardless of stake so we welcome people to enter. On top of other projects I co-run outside of Hive, I'm going to be honest, I don't think I can dedicate more than what I already do to Hive as I'm as active as I can be so if you are requiring extra with the Dolphin Assemble then I'll have to rule myself out unfortunately.
